River bluff raise in UB 0 6X River bluff raise in UB 0 6X

UB 120 6 max tournament. I have a pretty active pre flop image but I've been real straight forward post flop. Haven't played any major pots with villain, who has been tightish but not super nity or anything.

I think a good chunk of his range on the river will be missed flush draws, and I doubt he ever has a 2. Basically I think the only time I get called is when he has the 5 (or A2 I guess.) I know I'm not repping much, but I don't really expect some UB random to get all hero call on me.

Particularly in 6 max tournaments I find stats very useful for gearing whether a player is at least decent or not.

That said, if I had to guess i'd say his range is geared more toward PPs than a missed FD, not just on a combinatorics basis but also since he is far more likely to value bet a PP than bluff a missed FD on an otherwise pretty bad board to bluff (does he really expect you to fold A high here?). He probably expects us to barrel our overpairs so we are basically trying to rep a bare 5 which although we can legitimately have preflop, there aren't a lot of combinations compared with how likely we are to be bluffing - in his eyes we could easily have a missed FD and he just clicks call with 88.

So I don't really like the bluff

The numbers are off on the river obv. Guessing it's raises 17k.

I'm surprised at the narrow range you think calls you. I think it's much wider.

On a that board, I wouldn't expect a good made hand to ch the turn looking to raise the river.

Your line looks a lot like what it is. I think his hand is much more b/c than b/f.

Maybe I'm wrong.

I dont like it, line makes no sense to me, I'm calling 100% of my river betting range here

This is close. I think with your sizing it's close but -EV but if you make it 15k, it's +EV. And regardless of whether your sizing is +EV, I think 15k is better.

I started to crunch some numbers, but I'm half asleep. Remind me if you're interested.

i think this is bad

As others said, your line makes no sense. If you want it to make more sense, you need to barrel the turn. I like the river raise size though.

A. Easy now boys, it's just a strat thread.

B. Well naturally I know most guys in this thread realize my line makes no sense, but does a random on UB (or does he realize it enough that this is -EV)?

I think his thought process with a hand he might potentially call with (pair, prob folds A high) mostly revolves around OMG DOES HE HAVE A 5? HE HAS IT I KNOW FFS FML. HES BLUFFING I CALL
01-07-2010 , 03:11 AM
either this or double barrell the turn...line looks fine to me what can he have? meh he'd almost have to be bluffing himself for it not to be a call for him...ace high any pp, i prob wouldn't go there but you had no other way of winning the pot
