UTG raises to t500, 4 folds, CO raises to t1200, Hero?

3-bettor is Run Dat Game. Basically I don't know his game at all cause I haven't played at Stars recently too much. However I know he is a regular and I think that it's safe for me to assume that he is more than capable. He views me probably as random or semi random although if I recall correctly we were in the same table on 50r day earlier. My location is displayed as Espoo so he can most likely guess at least that I'm european if not scandi if that matters. I don't think he's light here because UTG is so short and therefore villain is committed to call the shove but I'd guess that his 3-betting range include some weaker hands than jacks. Flatting, 4-betting and folding all suck for various reasons but I'd like to hear which option is the best if any.

You should be crushed here by either hand, if not both.

You have good chips - just wait for a better hand.

An UTG opening is a show of strength (where is the read on UTG?).
The raise is another (for the reasons you said).

Oh sorry. UTG was most likely random. I've played enough on Stars that I recognize most of the regs. Anyway this was Run Dat Game's first hand on this table so I assumed he knew nothing about villain.

With no antes and awkward stack sizes, I don't see a reason to get involved here, especially since CO's unlikely to be light his first hand at the table facing an unknown's UTG raise. And UTG making it 3.3x instead of 3x is a show of strength as well.

So definitely fold. Unless this is the rebuy period that is. I don't play quite enough MTTs to have Stars' structure memorized.

Makes no sense whatsoever for us to be folding JJ here when deeper than the other thread where we're calling AK in an almost identical situation, other than stacks.

Well the 3 bettor knows he has to call so he's only 3 balling hands that are comfy getting it in vs utg's get in range, which is likely something around TT+/AK and if we 4 ball he folds everything worse than that, and flatting is just kinda gross, so I guess we're stuck folding.

I'm pretty sure that I went through all the reasons in my post that this hand is different, but I can do it again if you want:

1) UTG opened to 3.3x instead of 3x which I definitely think is stronger from that position and will discourage light 3-bets

2) The 3-bettor in this hand is brand new to the table and against a non-reg in UTG, he is very unlikely to take a chance by 3-betting him light when he knows nothing about his range. This is a marked difference from the AK hand where the 3-bettor already had some history of playing back at people.

3) There are no antes in this hand. The antes also make light 3-bets much more profitable.

Spot is very different, UTG is going to be shoving a ton over our flat, it's a bigger percent of our stack, there are no antes. I think folding is best.
