UTG+2 is a pretty loose passive type opponent with like 30k. MP is a youngish guy who seems kinda uncomfortable with his big (90k-ish) stack. Doesn't seem internety but kinda aggressive.

I open A

UTG+1 to 2200. UTG+2 snap-calls. Folds to MP who makes it 9500. Folds to me.

Is shoving terrible?

Shoving might not be terrible, but it's at least pretty close to terrible. I highly doubt some live player is gonna squeeze to 9500 here vs a 30k stack intending to fold, and you should be crushed by his value range.

where does he say that he has 30k?
If its between 50-70k; I think its close, because villains 3-betrange might be wider as normal against the other villain obv(perhaps smth. like KTs+ included)

Ugh, sorry, 45k to start the hand. 500/1k blinds. Sorry about that, posted this hand too late last night and forgot some info.

It was my feeling at the time, that the guy would at least consider folding both QQ and AK but I'm not sure if that's a crazily optimistic hope.

If you're not shoving AQs then your shoving range is basically QQ+, AK?

Oh sorry I misread the OP and thought he said he had 30k, even so, unless you've seen this guy do some really aggressive stuff like this before, I'd assume hes pretty unlikely to squeeze light vs an utg+1 open and a call from EP, and trying to get him to fold QQ/AK (which is very optimistic if hes young), is not exactly a plan we should be going with.

Yeah. And to be honest I'd feel kinda gross shoving QQ but still do it.

If you think this guy is going to fold qq or ak to your shove then he doesn't have many weak hands in his squeezing range to begin with you have 40 bigs which is super plenty in a live tournament I think its an easy fold.

I would fold, think you need a pretty good reason to shove and based on OP you definitely don't have that
