I just had a quick question about ICM in regards to the flatter structures of Pokerstars and the steeper structures of FTP final tables.

I come from a SNG background myself but I have a huge problem with ICM in MTT's because it's like a "chicken or the egg" problem.

Is it better to play looser, or make more +cev calls, in a flatter structure or a steeper one that is very top heavy? I tend to play a lot looser at both types but that just might be a leak.

flatter structure pros: you lose less equity when you lose your stack so you can make more plays, but gain less equity from them.

steeper pros: you gain way more equity when you win flips/cev edges, but lose a lot more when you lose.
