I feel like theoretically you should definitely call since you're ahead of a random hand, but if it ACTUALLY happened, I would be inclined to fold since this guy is clearly a lunatic and I would be able to find a better spot..

against phil ivey i would snap (if i was sure he had 2 random cards)

Well, what does anyone think their edge is an a HU freeze out? Bigger than how much of a favorite K8o is over a random hand?

Against Phil Ivey I fist pump, against an unknown I shrug call, against a weak/passive player I have history with I insta-muck.

I think maybe 25% of the players here call against an unkonwn.

I think the question here is better defined by being against an unknown player.

here is a better question...in a 10K no limit live tournament UTG open shoves without looking at his cards...you are in MP2, what is the minimum hand you can call with? if you are on the BB, what is the minimum hand you can call with?

i actually think these are important questions, coz K8o is prob the minimum hand heads up there are different minimums for differnt table configs

in MP2 i would probably snap with AJos+, ATs+ (making it look like i'm super strong) and on BB I would prob call Ax, Kxs, K8+, QT+, Q9s+, 22+ (maybe 33+ if i have feel i have an edge on the table).

I haven't plugged that range into any programs so I'm curious to see what the best range is but that's just what I'd call with off the top of my head.
