can anyone get away from this? can anyone get away from this?

Raise and re-raise and you don't even have to invest anymore chips into the pot, I am folding. Let the other two battle it out at this point. Unless you see they are 3-betting very light then what hand ranges are you beating here?

Also with 3200 chips and 825 committed Helen Keller is not folding. She cannot see or hear what is going on and will still snap call you with at best for you a coin-flip.

Don't forget there is another person in the hand as well who could be holding a big hand as well. If the original raiser is also a somewhat tight raiser this is even less of a reason to call here as a tight raiser got three bet. Fold this hand and find a better spot.

Seems standard.

-2 to CaliStyle.

yeah if hes a reg and views you as tag, his 3bet range to your utg+2 open at these stacks is prob QQ+ AK, so i guess that makes it a fold during analysis, but in real time i prob just slide to the right and click
10-17-2009 , 11:40 AM
and oh yeah he has AA so fold
10-17-2009 , 02:38 PM
I mean come on.. This is such an obvious ship unless the guy is a huge nit (he's not) folding or calling makes baby jesus cry.. obv just a cooler.. For u who fold we waiting for kk+ to get it in? If we had 50 or more bbs there can be other more optimal lines but 30bbs with ak I can't fold here
10-17-2009 , 03:40 PM
pushing AK here is an error imo, unless you like flipping most of the time
10-17-2009 , 04:48 PM
we cant ship because he has AA
we can flat because we will flop a K and lose to his AA
we have to fold

You are almost always flipping with AK unless you can get the money in the middle vs. AQ.

Isn't that why we play AK?

I'm still waiting for someone who is advocating a fold to post a good reason why.

This is certainly the reason AK is a strong hand in tournament poker, because it can safely be played aggressively because it is so unlikely to be dominated, but we also combine that with the fact that we have fold equity, which makes the hand quite profitable in most situations.
In this spot, however, we are basically calling off our stack vs a supertight range with very little dead money in the pot, because villain is never folding barring a misclick.

Part of me cannot help but wonder if you would still be taking this line if the results hadn't been included in the OP.
