Obv results oriented to say he made the right decision because he ended up FT'ing it.
Your 3b size is way too big. Its clearly a call. You just said he saw you 3b/call AJ, so his range is obv wider than 3/b folding AKss being correct here. Not to mention if everything goes wrong and you lose after showdown, you still have 15bbs to whip around in a soft tourney.

On the subject of 3bet sizing here, what is the optimal sized raise? Is 2.5x a standard 3bet this deep in an mtt? And should you make your 3bets larger early on in tournaments when stacks are deeper? Sorry I know this is fundamental stuff but I am genuinely not sure when you should adjust 3bet sizes. And while I am at it, what is a standard 4bet size both early and late in tournaments?

people need to use the phrase "pot odds" more when giving reasons to call. 3bet sizing is not a reason to call. do you think you're inducing 4bet bluffs so well with this sizing that you just need to call infinity blinds? because that's how you're phrasing it.

lol..... when people say 3b sizing means call it basically means pot odds anyway, because your 3b sizing is so big you've essentially created a big pot where you now have pot odds. also yeah, 3b so big and then folding here is just bad, cause of pot odds i guess, although technically if you made a mistake of 3b so big, and as played folding is better with pot odds considered etc etc then of course folding AS PLAYED would be right, in this case it is not

agree with OMG.
It's pretty clear that referencing 3bet-sizing implies pot odds, yet it is also important to highlight the massive error with the 3bet sizing independently. really dont understand skater's point
