This is early on in the $500 triple shootout WCOOP event. I haven't played much with villain who is Puffinmypurp but recognise him as a high stake winning reg. Thoughts on this line?

I'd say it's fine

I kind of want to just fold flop to his CR, given that purp will follow through on a ton of turns and our plan (correct me if I'm wrong) is to fold on anything but a 6 or 9, and even when we get them I don't feel our implied is very high given texture.

My reasoning for calling his raise was that I figured he would have a lot of combo draws in his range such as random hearts of pair and gutshot or something that would check to me on the turn and slowdown a lot more. I think folding to the flop raise is probably the best line now.

Why check flop? What's the worst pair we're leading with? AA pretty much = 99 in this spot right?

why would he ever slowdown on the turn with any hand given that you are repping a range of mostly 1 pair hands that really cant stand any more heat

i don't particularly like calling the flop to fold the turn. i mean how often do you expect him to c/r flop in a 4way pot and then jsut give up?

i don't really mind betting the flop though, cause if we check are we c/c?
