OK, his limp seemed reallllly suspect so I played it realllly safe and limped behind. I hit my flop but then he check/pushes. Puke! Fold here? What am I beating?

Preflop is very bad, your goal here with this stack should be to raise and get it in with AKs

and call the flop

300/fold to UTG+1 preflop? Really exploitable but does UTG+1 limp reraise with 99-QQ and not just go for raise/call? Given your read (i've had a similar situation vs Victor Ramdin before) I definately don't think preflop is very bad. I think bet calling is fine on the flop since i'd imagine he'd at least lead out unless he really wants to maximize his fold equity which means he might not be hugely strong.

A good player is likely to limpreraise AQ+,88+ or worse UTG with less than 25xBB, so I would just raise and get it in if he reraises. You have an ace and a king making AA/KK less likely and you not that terrible versus KK. Plus he could have some hand he can't raise with UTG and is planning to fold to a raise.

Yeah this is what I should have done. He said he had KQ so at least the flop fold was good.

you find it suspicious that he limped so you did not raise because you thought he has KK,AA ? so why dont you just fold then? and if he also can have QQ, why do you bet the flop? the whole hand does not make much sense. eeeeaaaasy raise preflop

With 20bbs and AKs im looking to get it in preflop almost allways. Including this hand.

Me too

Rupert, Victor is horrid with a short stack and you'd be more ahead of his range than Stuart's, but I still want to get it in against both. I just jam.
