I have 18k and raise 77 to 1500. A guy with 80k chips flats on the button. The bb also calls. Cking told me that the guy is a friend of his who is good at PLO.

Flop AJ3

I bet 3k. Button folds quickly. The BB calls after thinking for a few seconds.

Turn 5

BB moves in really fast.

I call?

I think if he has a set or ace he would crai on the flop expecting me to call.

wat?

Is this for real?

Even if he's making some sort of sick ******ed move with a pair of 88's your still crushed lol. Even if has a flush draw with overcards your a dog.

i hope he had 5's

grafyx failed to mention the BB moved in for 5k
so he's getting ~3:1 to call

Definitely not, especially if I thought this shorty's range of hands for continuing was wide enough that I felt the need to call here.

If you're getting this kind of price I don't see how you can fold. Very, very strange line by Villain, I tend to agree with OP's assessment of what he wouldn't play this way, but I can't think of much he would, so I'm not sure that gets us too far. Agree with not c-betting ze flop.

damn. I suck at posting after playing all day.

wow. yeah i never c-bet this into 2 people, esp when one is in shove zone.

as played, i'm just pitching it. too often BB just wanted to break the bets into two streets to get it in. I don't think you are good close to 25% and plenty of the times you are you lose to KhQh or what the hell ever.

The cbet is really bad unlelss your deep enough to fire multiple streets.
06-15-2008 , 12:30 AM
rule of thumb...dont bluff past flop, overcall...go nuts on A high boards...without an A..as usually sum1 has 1.
06-15-2008 , 12:36 AM
what do u think he has then? dont u think he shoves flop with draws too? he might have a jack. lol.

He meant the cbet is almost always -EV in a vacuum, but if you are deep enough that you can make profitable two and three barrels. Making the cbet +EV by setting up future +EV spots.

I think villain was trying to represent A5s? but, in my experience the quick push is often meant to mislead.
