Hi, villain is very good reg, he's playing 27/23/8, no particular reads postflop.

PokerStars - €183+€17|50/100 Ante 10 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 11,560
SB: 21,836
BB: 9,800
UTG: 8,870
Hero (MP): 9,060
CO: 7,770

6 players post ante of 10, SB posts SB 50, BB posts BB 100

Pre Flop: (pot: 210) Hero has K K

fold, Hero raises to 300, fold, fold, SB calls 250, fold

Flop: (760, 2 players) 8 9 6
SB checks, Hero bets 550, SB calls 550

Turn: (1,860, 2 players) Q
SB checks, Hero bets 1,150, SB raises to 2,500, Hero ?

Hard to see any set or DP in villain's range, JTs could be playing like that, but a lot of value hands are c/raising flop here no ?
So what's the plan ?

I just call. Getting about 4.5-1 your hand is too strong to fold at this point. Prolly calling river unless V bombs it

Ok but when we call OTT, we just have one PSB left on the river, so i don't expect villain to do anything else than shoving almost any card.

I would check turn, decide river. Mostly fold.
As played fold turn, unless you have some history with him.

Im a fish but i see kinda weak folding overpairs like this...

I cry and fold. We bet big on flop and turn and he cr and gives us a great price.

i think i just fold and wait for a better spot against this aggro.

such a disgusting board for KK. what do you do on river if you call here and he ships? fold and save chips.

For me shoving is not an option, you only get called by better hands.

If you call you have to know that you are playing for all your stack. Calling and folding is disgusting.

In a 200$ mtt where people is so aggresive im not folding, but maybe thats the reason why im not playing those mtts.

Id just check back the turn.

FOLD, the board dictates the play. If you call he shoves the river. There is no card that can come on the river that makes you feel good.

You still have 7K to play.

b/f turn. checking turn is really awful

J10 Theorem?? 1111/fold IMO

B/f turn

Fold as played. Prefer checking back turn. I think vs a player like this, most hands that you think you're getting value from by betting he decides to c/r turn with. And he has plenty of better hands then KK that you can't really continue.

I doubt this guys going to c/call something like qj or flush draws on the turn.

Bet turn for protection/value. I like a fold now.

I agree to call the turn and evaluate the river. It's a good board for him to float with Q10, QJ even KQ or AQ. He can check raise the turn here with all those hands to find out where he is at or even as a semi bluff. If the river bricks and he shoves I am probably folding. If he bets for value I am going to call since I think a lot of his value hands are the ones I mentioned and also a portion of his hands are weighted to semi bluffs like 10 9, or 8 7.

lol no, a very skilled player like villain is never cr here with top pair as a semibluff (too much sd value) or "to find out where he's at" (******ed). whether he does it with AQ for value is questionable.

my gut always says cry and fold in spots like these, especially before antes, because we're almost completely murked by his value range...but it's pretty easy to level yourself into thinking that this type of player is always trying to own you here with a fl draw or a hand like T8s.

calling turn to "re-evaluate" river with less than a psb and the implication that you're going to get put allin nearly 100% of the time is nonsensical. only reason to call turn is because you're very confident that villain (almost) never cc flop with 2pr+, is super aggro and loves to turn made hands into bluffs on scary boards like this, and you're planning to snap non-diamond rivers when he inevitably puts you allin

b/f turn and tell no one that you had KK imo
