Is this just a horrible laydown? This villian is the only player that had me covered at the table and had been playing very snug straight forward poker.

not a terrible laydown at all. actually i like it against the only one at table that has you covered. at best hes drawing, and he could still hit it.

uh, snap call
07-27-2008 , 08:14 PM
wow, I snap call, i think you have tons of hands in his range beat. plus you just flat called on a drawy board then bet when he checked, he can put you on a draw or pair+whatever hand and be shoving tons of stuff you have beat

I would definitely call

is this the sexton hand? i think you have to call there are just too many hands you beat

i'd fold - this seems like a bad spot to bluff (if i were you i'd bet less on the turn though). It looks like either a set or a monster draw, 57hh type thing. And I like the number of chips you've got even after folding.

I didn't read this yet but it was probably terrible

okay, now I've read it. wow it's so much worse than the description promised

e: in a perfect world he would flash 64 to prove he wasn't bluffing

I would almost never lay down 2-pair BvB. Here, there are two flsuh draws and all sorts of straight draws on the board. Snap call; fold is terrible.

Folding is terrible, and anybody in this thread who advocated a fold should give up there rights as HSMTT posters for at least 1 month, it's not even FREAKING CLOSE. Folding here is like giving away like $1k+ dollars.

I don't really want to read the thread, I already got a glimpse of JohnFR's response, but my response from the title alone was going to be:

"BvB, 2 pairs is the nizzles baby! stick it in (but don't be too forceful)"

So unless there is like a 4 card flush and a 4 card straight, stick it in... And even if there are he's probably bluffing, so stick it in...
