Cheers buddy. It is truly a crappy injury, but it is possible to come back from, provided you progress slowly and deliberately. For whatever it's worth, to briefly reiterate something I mentioned earlier, I pretty much never have discomfort during squatting or deadlifting these days. Every once in a while, I'll have a little bit of a pump the day after lower body lifting, but usually I'm fine.

As an aside, I did the first exercise mentioned in this Omar Isuf video on Wednesday, and actually really felt it, in a good way, yesterday in my SI region. Not sure it's on the menu for you now, but I think I'm going to do it a few times a week and see how it goes?

Weasel,

I had the same issue with benching. What helped me was resting the SI by removing my legs and doing Larsen for a while. This also let me focus on creating a thoracic rather than lumbar arch. This also helped me reset my leg drive position, and now I get into my Larsen position and then put my feet down to support that position, whereas before I would set my feet and then my arch.

Congrats on weight loss!!!!! Sickening. Make sure you are taking regular progress pics please.

Awesome, thanks monte

Busto,

I tried larsen pressing but that hurt my lower back. Every time i laid down on the bench, my lower back would be in extreme extension if my legs were in the air.

As an FYI to the video Monte posted above, I have been doing windmills three times a week as a warm up. It was prescribed by my PT a couple of months ago. One difference in the way I do it is holding at the bottom for a couple of seconds. It made the left side of my lower back really sore for a few weeks. You will tell quickly if the exercise is helpful for your SI.

Is your squat feeling better (i.e. less pain when you're doing it)? How's the diet going?

Glad to see you back!

Squat feels better. Diet sucks really bad. I have been super lazy. Was 199 this morning but im eating fast food every meal :/. I need to start cooking again.

My living situation is kind of ****ty right now. I'm letting a friend stay at my house and i have a tiny tiny one bedroom so i stay at my girlfriend's and her kitchen is too small/messy to cook.

I should just go to my house and cook but it is kind of out of the way from my gf's house and it is way too small for two people to be in there.

Great to hear about the squat!

Maybe just batch cook a few meals on the weekends and bring them over to your girlfriend's place? I'm assuming her kitchen can at least handle making eggs or oatmeal or whatever in the morning, or no?

It probably can, she kind of cleaned up last week but she uses the stove as counter top/storage space and the table is covered with junk so i would just have to move stuff around. It's mainly about me just being lazy.

I probably will just start going to my house and cooking a bunch of chicken or something. I was going home at lunch and cooking cause my friend would be gone but i started going to the gym at lunch and was too lazy to go after work.

I'm pretty sure I did 275x5x3 once, so QED it is "weak".
