This is Fatobar we're talking about here, probably best to go with 8-9% efficiency

Why are you all kicking Alobar?

I mean ...He makes progress that is good enough for him. He definitely made some progress with food. He is moving his butt in the movement of his choice. There is clearly room for improvement. I personally, so don't understand all this olive gardens and panda express and whatever else instead of cooking himself, but I mean..... Who is perfect.... Definitely not me. And as a whole thing, I would say Alobar totally deserves some kind of gold star for now.

Lapka,
I lost 80lbs in a year and took a hell of a lot more kicking than Alobar with his 8lb weight loss. He needs a more kicking imo

I will stand up for Alobar, 'til the end.

Alobar's lost 16 lbs if you account for the 8 he gained back in the middle.

So then with assumed efficiency of Alobar of 25 %, we get approximately 800 ckal from intervals with 265 watt. I am too lazy to calculate all lower intervals. But I think that with warm-up and cool down 1300 ckal makes sense.

edit: I am totally shocked by 25% efficiency. It is soooo low.
1300 kcal in one hour would be approximately the equivalent of about a 14km run in one hour.

The big difference is that what he is doing is sustainable. Logs look awesome. Exercise is solid.

The hero we been waiting for. A few more months it's habit and then he frolicks in the clouds and looks down upon all fatties and thanks the lord for his new great life.

Did you do 4 rounds of 10m 265w then 5m 165w, total of 60 minutes, before moving on to 10m 165w, then 10 rounds of 10s 265w, 1m50s 230w (grand total of 90 minutes prior to cooldown)?

What is the effort level of 265w compared to running 6mph on a treadmill with no incline?
yeah, 10 min warmup 15 minute cooldown so like 2 hours total

My FTP (functional threshold power) is 230 watts, which is supposed to be the absolute maximum effort I could hold for an hour with a gun to my head. So those first intervals were done above FTP which means they are hard. If you work out what my average power was for that workout for the first hour, its right at 230, which means I basically went as hard as I could for an hour, then throw on another 20 minutes over 230. Going into the workout I fully expected to not be able to actually finish it, apparently most people don't. So I was actually super pumped that I was able to do it, but it was ****ing hard. Which is probably why I got butthurt you called it mild Maybe instead of watts I should list them as % of FTP like they are in training plans so it makes more sense, but I forget what the %s are but remember the watts so thats how Ive been listing them.

The trainer I use is accurate to +-1% on power readings and im also wearing a heart rate monitor, so I figure its probably pretty accurate on calories.

M has added more years to her life losing the huge amount of weight she has than Alobar has any chance of doing. Jfc people can be tough. She hasn't regained all the weight and is cooking a bit more. Leave her alone.

Spent 10 hours driving and didn't eat any candy (I did have a couple tic tacs tho), I imagine the Mc Ds and bar nachos (stopped at the old brewery that I went to all the time in college that I remembered had amazing nachos....either they changed in the 15 years since I had them last, or my memory sucks, cuz they were very disappointing ) was me compensating for that lack of road sugar.

You came incredibly close to winning today. I drove to visit my mom for thanksgiving and forgot to pack my scale! Thankfully I was in the driveway and remembered.

Rexx, I think you perceived some sort of insult to MLYLT that wasn't there. MLYLT said "Alobar needs a [sic] more kicking" and that she "lost 80 lbs". loco compared Alobar's progress to MLYLT's progress to show her that her losses/methods were not sustainable. I asked her whether she's 221 lbs currently because that's what she would weigh if she had lost 80 lbs from her starting point of just north of three bills and I don't think she weighs 221 lbs currently if her H&F log is to be believed.

This. I mean sometimes it is totally productive to kick someone's butt. But the motivational optimum is achieved only with good portion of praise for positive things.

I mean I think its a bit out of line for MLYLT to criticize someone's weightloss when's she's at around plus 20 pounds over the last year. Still pretty incredible weight loss for a sustained period though. Alobar is in less desperate straits than MLY was. I'd love to be at Fatobar's bodyfat % so I just him less harshly that most for that reason.

4 days away from a 200.0 Alobar ceiling weight!

With your workout volume and lack of weight loss, it cannot be accurate. It isn't like you are eating enough to make up for the workouts, right?

Keep in mind that I am jealous of your ability to handle doing a large volume of cardio. I'm more jealous of what sounds like you enjoying it. I burned approximately 32 calories jumping rope today for two minutes at about 100 jumps per minute and was completely spent. I also burned about 200 calories walking at a moderately quick pace, but that took about 40 minutes.
