Yeah, I'm not sure I could get 200 swings. My cardio is piss poor, but I know that and don't really care.

Ran a 3:40 800m. Awesome.

Also failed my 3x5x110 press the other day. In more positive news... my squat seems to be improving, which is cool.

Seems like you might want to check out crossfit.com for some training ideas. It's a bitch finding all the info to do the workouts, but at least you'll get some sort of gpp and cardio endurance instead of just straight lifting. You'll be much more athletic by doing more dynamic movements and increase your overall work capacity.

I lifted off and on for 5 years or so, then about 6 months ago went to a gym that followed crossfit principles. I'm in way better shape now and stronger. If your goal is to become more athletic, crossfit is the **** imo.

Thanks for reading my log, but this isn't what my goals are at the moment. I don't compete in anything, I don't imagine that swinging on a bar in an effort to imitate real life makes it seems more like climbing a wall, I don't think incorporating 5km runs will really make me any stronger.

I realized my dinner didn't have enough balance. So I finished the bottle of wine. Equal portions fruit and meat.

Wine= liquid sugarbomb, imo.

My roommate made some ridiculous sangria yesterday. I could def get my daily fruit intake from that elixir.

Haha. I drink like actual wine. Like...

http://www.calorie-count.com/calorie...d=14084&size=1

Just like 5-7x as much.

I'm tempted to CFT, and as I'm approaching the end of SS. I'm tempted to just start punting random days and adding in the other things that I want to do (max bench/squat/dead, check CFT etc). Thoughts?

Sure throw a CFT in...it's not particuarly taxing since it's just 3 attempts at 1rm of each...you won't feel crushed the next day or anything...I might not BS/P/DL the following day but you could def C&J, snatch, FS, etc...

I'll probably just grind it out.

Feel terrible today. Probably some overtraining rearing its head. I'm a little advanced to be doing this much high intensity not to mention my recovery has been poor (Diet/Sleep/Stress/blah blah blah whine whine whine). Great workout. Though it took like 1:30 or so.

Squat
3x5x237.5

Press
3x5x110

Clean
5x3x162.5

Chins
3x6xBW

Leg Raise
2x8xBW

Squats were ugly. All reps to parallel. Felt like throwing up during presses. Cleared up during cleans. There was a trainer with a really terrible body having some dude explain how he uses the power rack for barbell curls. I'm sure there is a level of hell where I have to see this chick do SLDL and the guy curl in the squat rack with 65 while I wait to squats.

Oh, I also have a cold. So I had to go to the locker room to blow my nose, spit, wash my hands etc. Way too much ****. Pretty ghey.

You have no idea how many times I've seen people curling in the squat rack. However, I have no problem telling them to move... Just like the mofo who decided to do pushups in the squat rack.

Yeah. I got to the gym today and someone was doing squats in the squat rack. It was kinda pathetic as its a pretty big guy (~225ish) doing 225 for like 5x8 or whatever. And they weren't even parallel. They were like 1-1.5 inches above. I think he prides himself on being huge and strong like bull as well.

The someone came in and did quarter squats on the smith machine which was gagtacular. But atleast they were squats?

My bar speed sucked **** today. I couldn't generate any speed at any weight. My knees felt balky and needed a long warmup. Ghey.

Oh yeah I categorize people into many categories when it comes to squatting:

1. People who don't squat (fools obv)
2. People who squat like idiots (probably bigger fools, because if you're going to do the exercise, do it right or don't do it at all)
3. People who squat correctly (at my gym I have yet to see this, I go to a Bally's)

I agree with the 3 types. 1 is worse than 2, imo, because it's usually because "lol I don't want big legz."

Years ago, I knew squats were good for me and my overall development, but I did ******o foam-pad halfsquats, not intending to fool myself, and actually believing I was doing it right. Then someone pointed it out, I did my own research, and did it properly ever since.

Haha +1 to this... "I'm doing squats, I rule. Look at all these bafoons doing their leg press. Then I proceed to do 1/4 squats"

Oh man and that pad people put on the bar... a pussy pad. It's what my HS track coach called it.

I don't mind the pad if you're really small. But at some point it becomes useless.

In other notes. I had absurd body aches last night that woke up and hurt a lot. My joint are clearly having mass revolt. Whatev. It was really weird.

If you're doin highbar/olympic, mantaray is fine.
Foam pad makes the bar more unstable and shifts the cog.

Fishoil, glucosamine. You've had these joint probs in the past too right

My knees, but they always get better. This was more like body aches. It woke me up like halfway into sleep. I had to get on the one advil per 5 minutes till sleep. And I'm not a big fan of medication, but this was brutal.

Agree with glucosamine and fish oil. Might want to megadose the fishoil while its really bad. SAMe is also good for the joints as well as being very good for the liver and also improving your mood.

It appears my body has enough miles on it and has agreed to stop working almost entirely. I now have intermittent pain under my right nut (never liked it anyway), which happens sometimes when walking, sometimes when sitting, but not when exercising. I did a couple crossfit workouts since I'm a whiny ***, I feel these workouts suit me.

I did 25 wall balls as a warmup and then 45 thrusters at 85 in 7:43. I almost died. My cardio is AIDs.
