Just do what BtM would do and you'll be fine imo.

Yep, you guessed correctly. I think I'm obligated to give her a shot if latina doesn't work out. She initiated+was willing to drive all the way from Rock Hill, SC.

Should put that elite real world economics use into grad school apps bro. Don't forget to make weird accounting jokes about adding numbers on your date either.

What does this even mean?

I keep reacting to deodorants. I tried Toms of Maine, because I heard it was non-aluminum and good for sensitive skins. It was for a while, but I have been itching something fierce. I've had allergic reactions to stuff, but never have I encountered the burning that my pits get when I react to it.

Does anyone have suggestions? I have only been able to use body sprays consistently without an issue.

Toms changed formulas a few years ago.

Being stronger than the next guy great for when those few people who can't comprehend they aren't the Alpha step up to the plate.
b. You may have children in the future. If it is a girl you will need to protect her from every man out there since they are all just like you are now. If it is a boy, you need to be stronger than him at every step of his life. You also want to be stronger than the other Dads are so they don't try to settle issues by physical means.

If these issues are significant to you, it's probably just as (or possibly more) important to carry a weapon and train in MMA.

I read his post in Mac from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's voice.

Thank you, added to my cart. Disappointed non-prime, so might be shipped via pigeon.

Thinking of a gun as a first line of defense in any situation is the worst possible way to think.

I never said gun or first line, but that's one interpretation, I suppose.

I'd argue that lifting is probably the #1 activity old people should do. It's good for your joints (if done correctly), your heart and your muscles. What happens to a lot of people when they grow old? They sit at home and waste away, not eating enough and losing muscle mass, leading to poor balance and a greater chance of injuries. They obv don't need to be very strong, but not being weaker than a 5 year old certainly has immense benefits.

I just recalled research being performed in my home city (can't find it online unfortunately). They put a group of old people (70ish) through a very basic strength training regimen. Their strength increased by A LOT in a fairly short time, as did their LBM. Furthermore, this had a definite effect on quality of life.

Not trying to strawman you here.

Lifting is the first time I have felt any downside of being tall. It's so much harder to get jacked and body is more prone to injuries.

But obviously once you get there, a tall muscular body >> any other type.
09-18-2013 , 04:11 AM
Is that a thing? Isn't that just a downside of being skinny? I definitely don't feel like being average height is a positive...
09-18-2013 , 04:21 AM
I think skinny + tall is definitely a bad combo since your body will probably be weak and yet you'll have long lever arms for bones and more stress on your pivots aka joints and would need more muscle than average height to have the required forces to lift and be strong.

It might be just an observational bias (not many tall people in my gym) but I feel shorter skinny bodies can get away with bad form much more than taller ones.
09-18-2013 , 04:53 AM
Yeah that kinda makes sense, obviously just not something I'd noticed

As a tall weakling I have to agree with what SS is saying.
