Hello,

Can anyone point me to the direction of converting a weight done in multiple sets to a rep max?

For example, if I do 300 lbs squats 3 sets of 5 reps, how do I convert that to an approx. 5 rep max?

thanks!

Not sure of a calculator like that, I do know of this approximate 1 rep max calculator

http://www.exrx.net/Calculators/OneRepMax.html

But it's for converting 1 set of multiple reps into an approximation of what your 1 rep max is around.

That calculation would be too dependent on variables like rest time between sets, training experience, etc.

I think adding 3-6% is probably a pretty good number for most people.

also

is a direct download. This will return 1RM 5 RM & of course a 5/3/1 Max. Just offering the links, not interested in debating the veracity of the underlying mathematics.

Mind over matter. Nobody is going to tell me how much I can lift. I will tell my body how much I'm going to lift.

Depends. Some people have bigger spreads and can lift high %s of their 1rm for lots of reps. 3x5rm is generally going to be 83-87% of 1rm in squats in my experience.
