Chocolate mint is the only ON flavor I can consistently have without getting completely sick of it; I use it PWO.

I hated double chocolate at first and almost gave it away, then tried blending it with a banana and some other fruit for a wakeup shake and was pleasantly surprised

I made my way through a 10 lb bag of ON double chocolate somehow, only got mildly sick of it towards the end. I think it tastes fine in water but itself but is obviously better in milk. I just got some milk chocolate which is a little too strong but not awful. Not really recommended though.

i didn't, i just got regular chocolate and figured i'd work my way up.

if i just mix it with my oatmeal, it's not so bad. i think increasing the powder to water ratio, will help, as someone else suggested.

If cost isn't an option, try the ABB Mass Recovery. I love the stuff and have been using it for awhile now. It has everything you need post workout and tastes great. Here is a link to where I get mine.

Eh, I mean that can be easily achieved with one's own separate ingredients.

1 gram of protein (whey) = 1 gram of protein (casein) = 4 calories. Check the label of the brand you want to buy to see how many fat and carb grams the powder has in it.

*Calorie wise* all proteins, fats, and carbs are created equal, though clearly they are not all the same.

Whey is absorbed much quicker than casein which is absorbed over an extended period; both are ideal at any time of the day and mixing them is a wise choice.

Isn't protein consumption prior to lifting more important than post-consumption?

Hey, could anyone tell me anything about this recovery drink? It's called myogenix aftershock. http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/myo/after.html

There's a nutrition store right next to my gym where I stop for one of these shakes after lifting. The guy who recommended it to me seems knowledgeable and takes the time to explain the science behind a lot of other stuff, and doesn't seem like he's FOS. He's a huge bodybuilder. However, I'm a little skeptical because he pushes this 9.5 ph kangel water on me all the time, and i feel like that could be a little bit of homeopathy 'science'.

I should probably start mixing my own to save some $$ anyways. What should I be looking for when analyzing a PWO shake? I noticed you can custom build your own blend on trueprotein, if my goals are changing body composition and fat loss, any recs on supplements and other mix options?
