What are some things that people add to light day on TM (after squats and presses)? My main goals are fps and not to screw up intensity day. Light RDLs should be fine?

Chins if they're not too taxing, or curls. AFAIK the cool kids don't even take recovery day though.

Probably just time to end it all, just go eat a bread and quit. Cry. Write some poetry. Maybe try yoga.

So you just went to the gym, did your warmup sets on squats, failed the 3rd rep of your first work set and peaced out? I don't really get the whole "wasn't pumped up" thing either.

All the BS accessory/vanity stuff imo. I find RDLs too taxing to bother with on recovery day, much better on volume day after squats. I do fliez, curlz, abz, back extz etc on recovery day.

If you are doing the four day split, there is no recovery day, as bixby alluded to.
12-05-2012 , 05:57 PM
Cool ty. Yeah, no 4 day split yet.

Wow. This article is amazing

lol, unless I'm at the end of a program and everything is hurting, I'd just kick my own ass until I stop being a bitch and lift some ****ing weight.

How likely is it that you failed from setting up wrong, or leaning forward too much out of the bottom or something?

Maybe my career shift should be into decent reporting on health and science. The article is poorly written summary of an assuredly detailed article. Pediatrics ain't no joke.

Article is epic.

You fools, your protein powder's gonna kill ya. I use none of that silliness.
12-05-2012 , 06:59 PM
I love that they equate protein powders and steroids, as if they were on the same continuum.
12-05-2012 , 07:00 PM
I google drived the original article if anyone is interested:

https://docs.google.com/open?id=0Bw1...UhmaklhdVU3UzQ

i had a very quick skim, it seems as if the journalist rather than the study authors is the one equating protein with steroids, but i may be mistaken. hopefully i'll read it after the gym

Boys’ body dissatisfaction has simul-
taneously increased,4 and research
has demonstrated that exposure to
images of extremely muscular models
contributes to body dissatisfaction and
muscle dysmorphia in young men.5–7

Man if they think these young men have muscle dysmorphia, then what do they think about me??

Because I surely look ridiculous in a shirt. I bought a medium shirt yesterday and the sleeves are too big (can you say "tiny delts" bro). I am a supertinybro, I look like I don't even lift!!!! I see pics of RobRiches and dream everyday of one day getting bigger. I don't have body dismorphia. The truth of the mater is, I truly am a supertinybro. Sure I look fine without a shirt, but who cares. I am being realistic here. I am a skinny little fack who looks like he doesn't even lift. That's not muscle dysmorphia, that's the hard cold reality. These young men are in the same boat. They don't have muscle dysmorphia, they truly are fatties and skinniefacks. Good for them that they are taking some 'tine and protein to change that.

Gotta go now, must go lift. Must not be small. Must get like RobRiches.

"body dissatisfaction and muscle dysmorphia"

Do they really think these are the same thing?

What if you have "body dissatisfaction" because you're fat, weak, and slow?

I'm sure as hell unhappy with my body, but it's not "dysmorphia". It's that I'm fat, weak, & slow; my thyroid is ****ed; my knees ache all the time; and I don't like those things very much.

Do people in higher education have "knowledge dissatisfaction"? Self-improvement is a bad thing now?

Finally.

Bro, I've been telling you (and all you other tinybros around here) this since you started posting. What's the point of lifting for aesthetics when you don't look better 90% of the time?
12-05-2012 , 07:35 PM
join crossfit or a rock band and that 90% of the time wearing a shirt becomes 20%.
12-05-2012 , 07:35 PM
Doesn't loco live in Central America? Just walk around on the beach all day showing off dem abs, then it doesn't matter that it doesn't even look like you lift with a shirt on.

Last edited by Dudd; 12-05-2012 at 07:35 PM. Reason: crossfit is another good suggestion

Oh I look better. Just gotta take the shirt off.

I was stretching the other day at the poker tables and the fatty black dealer said
"Honey what kind of work you do? All dem vains and muscles. Yum yum yum." I told her I was a supertinybro but she won't have any of it. Wanted the loco machine gun right on the spot.

Slowly turning the corner bro. My first compliment wearing a shirt past the elbow.

"Teen bodies are still changing, says Boston.com's McCarthy. "Overuse of protein powders can lead to malnutrition, weight gain, and other possible health problems,"

According to wikipedia, malnutrition can refer to both under and overeating. I learned something today

I have been in maintenance mode lately. Eating whatever and training whatever. I get the funny feeling I am not going to make any progress.

Must track every calorie. Must track every workout. Should get around to it by the new year. 2012 "year of the cut." 2013 "year of the bulk." 2014 "year of the strength." Three year process to get as close to robriches as possible.
