Vanilla Sky is one of my guilty pleasure movies. I feel like it was a bad movie, but I loved it.

Videodrome is one of my favorite films. If you haven't seen it, I suggest you do... even if not tonight. I highly recommend it. Might be just what you're looking for right now.

Although if you haven't seen Event Horizon that is a must... Although it might not really fit the criteria you posted.

Oh sh*t, it seems like italics don't render on the mobile app. I don't know what to believe anymore.

...although it italicizes quoted posts fine. Go figure.

Cool, thanks for the rec! For some reason I don't think it's doing it for me tonight, but it looks cool and I'm def putting it on my list.

Is it more horror? I wasn't really sure. I thought I saw a discussion board topic where people were pondering about the mythology of the movie, so I was thinking maybe it had some good plot. Dunno much about it really.

I was reading random stuff about the 13th floor and the Matrix trilogy today, but not up to rewatch any of that stuff. Event Horizon and Vanilla Sky are on Netflix and were recommended to me, any thoughts on those? Other recommendations? I'm willing to download obv.

+1 on The Game. Although it's probably in the section on my video cassette shelf with Vanilla Sky.

Another +1 for The Game.

Most of BR's list is good imo.

A buddy of mine owns a candy and confections store. He has been making a small mint as the only place in the county that sells Faygo. Juggalos buy it by the case. Pretty sure they bathe and **** in it.

The Game truly is elite. Probably should have watched that again tonight myself. Instead I watched The Core. Jesus christ. I knew it would be bad, but...

lol @ The Game. A smart movie for dumb people.

lol The Game is def not the best film ever, but to call everyone who likes it "dumb" is nonsense.

No soreness. Gotta push myself harder, I guess.

Sweeeeeet. Thanks!

I've got lots of IMDBing to do now. I've seen most of them, but there's some gems I didn't know about it.

I hate subtitles. But one day I'll suck it up and watch TC and PL. Just not tonight.

ETA: Oh, and what's the difference between the 2 DD cuts? I've seen the movie many times but I didn't know there were 2 versions.

Is that the movie by the guy that did Primer? Is it worth seeing? I heard it was a quality flick.

Only once. I devoured a bunch of articles with alternate explanations for the movie. I need to watch it again. Loved it. Primer is in itself a mind**** that will probably always leave me more confused with each viewing. Upstream Color is all about tone and dem feels, it's okay to not try to figure it out and just go along for the ride.

Whooooooa, PL is a must-see. You'll forget it's subtitled. It's such a visual feast that you could turn the sound off and still be mesmerized.

The director's cut for DD adds in a bunch of stuff that offers the director's explanation for what's really going on. And imo, that really ruins the movie. It makes JUST enough sense in its original cut that a huge part of the joy is in trying to put together all of the pieces and decipher the movie for yourself. Having it spelled out for you is a huge killjoy.

I asked because I saw UC and really liked it but Primer doesn't get me hard. If I liked UC, should I give Primer a go?
