Weird, I had a bit of a blind spot a couple hours after my workout last week, but it was almost directly on the point of focus. Reading text on a screen was kind of hard because I had to look a bit away from a word to read it. I went to the doctor though just in case I was going to die. Doctor said I was not going to die soon. Is this a normal thing for you?

Hell no. Its happened maybe a half dozen times in my life. The first three were accompanied by a mild headache/migraine, and the last three were from lifting on heavy days.

Same thing, its pretty hard to read for sure, point of focus, usually just in one eye.

I get headaches after squatting. I am fairly convinced its due to increased blood pressure from the valsalva.

Do you know what is destabilizing in your lower back when you twist (rep2-4)? are those your spinal erectors failing? I injured my back (permanently) when I was carrying a heavy load down a narrow twisting staircase, so I am hypersensitive to seeing stuff like that. I am seriously afraid that, very soon, you will injure your back.

I'm going to reset soon and pay very close attention to this, and thank you for your concern.

I really don't know why I did this. It made the reps easier, I felt like I was allowing myself to use muscles that weren't going to help get the weight up and I ended up shifting to get he help. My lower back is not my strongest asset. I think I was compensating for it. Obviously that doesn't make it any better.

I've never really been pressured to make that movement(failing erectors)

I can honestly say that in 9 months of sqatting 3x a week Ive prob done this a half dozen times.

Judging by the responses I've gotten that's a half dozen too many

8am 3 eggs 2 slices reduced fat cheese
11am pbnj with decent amount of pb on white
1pm a thincut steak bout a 12"x5"x.5" before cooked
3pm 2 scoop protein shake

didn't eat a ton over the weekend but got protein and sleep.
I didn't have sex all weekend or do anything taxing.
After eating a decent amount I didn't think 5x305 would be too tough.
Owned. Failed both my first 2 sets and 295 was even tough.
I didn't allow any lateral movement. I did notice that I wanted to.
Makes this issue a bigger deal. I will get a belt after I reset and the weigh gets tough again. I did notice I wasn't holding my abs tight untill I did the 225 sets. Couldve been why I sucked today.
Had a bro spot on bench. This maintenence/small cut on TM is gonna end soon. I feel like my shoulder(s) might get hurt if I keep trying to push, especially on intensity day.

So much fail I'm thoroughly embarrassed so lets get this over with.

No idea what happened today but I cant remember having this much fail on squat in one day. Something was way off.

Shallow reps, knee cave, failing first 2 sets, the lateral movement and poor background music.

A real mess.

I hope Thremp isn't banned for too long that he misses out on giving me **** for these.

More updates on my sex life(or lack thereof) also if necessary.

I dunno. they don't look terrible. Knee caving is pretty easily fixable with focus and practice. The lateral movement is weird. Is your body just shaped funny? I dunno. Showed good fight in set 1. Eat some more. Sleep. ez game.

Getting used to these fail days is one of the harder parts approaching the end of your novice training. It's a lot more awesome when every lift is going up 10 or more each week.

Yea. Novice training ended a while ago, then I cut/maintained and moved to TM.

I had been crushing volume day starting at 255/260, making 10lb jumps till 280/85 and then crushing the 5lb jumps up till today.

I did 5x5x300 last week and couldn't even get my first set of 305 this week.

So much for crushing volume day.

This was by far the most disappointing day since I started 9 months ago.

My prob might be a weak mid/lower back, in regards to the lateral movement.

My dl blows.

Reset soon try to put some time in on dl and work my back some.

Gonna see if I can get laid too.

Set one looked good to me. Maybe if you rested a little bit more before 5th rep you woulda got it. It sucks to fail, I do it often. It def coulda just been a bad session.

I think I saw your question somewhere about deloading. If it was me, id just lift lighter and less volume for a week instead of taking a whole week off. 531'ish stuff.

Hoping that a few more reps with lighter weight on dl will help me to solidify proper form, and help me get my dl up. 315 was tough after those 4 sets. 275 was fairly easy though. Widened my grip too, seemed to help.
