to look at it in simpler terms, imagine doing a parlay with 2 different players to get the first touchdown - obviously that is more negatively correlated but you get the idea

if you just open up fanduel and bet what's there, you could be betting the -8.5 and have no idea you're literally paying the worst price in the entire market
