Must have been flip flop day at the gym. Also, today I learned where Nauru was, which is neat.
12-05-2016 , 05:43 PM
Do you know what the National sport of Nauru is?
12-05-2016 , 05:44 PM
I believe Nauru is a northern Aussie state, kind of like New Zealand.
12-05-2016 , 05:46 PM
Trick question. My extensive research has led me to determine that there are two national sports of Nauru.
12-05-2016 , 05:49 PM
Yeah, it's obvious now. I remember that advertisement, C U in the New Zealand or something like that.

You are correct on one front...

“I landed in Kazakhstan on the last flight of the night, and I got to an immigration booth and they asked me for an Australian passport, and told me I couldn’t come in without an Australian passport,” Ms Phillips-Harris told the Herald.

“They said New Zealand’s clearly a part of Australia.”

...although it is less a "state" and more an offshore penal colony where we send socially undesirable people (i.e. brown people) at a major inconvenience to the local population. I'm not sure the irony of this has really ever occurred to most (white) Australians.

Is one of them emotionally and physically abusing brown people?

Do either one of you need a permanent visa? That always helps.

This is probably a really good idea. Put Mrs Snitch and I squarely in the category of the majority of people who didn't talk about this...

Sometimes I think we got suuuuuper lucky that we don't have any major conflicts on things like religion, kids, money, etc... on the other hand, with at least some of those things it was pretty obvious where we both stood. Although kids was an interesting one... neither of us ever really explicitly said "I don't want to have kids"... but I think we both kind of figured each other out on that too. Still, it probably would have been good to state that up front, because it could be a deal breaker.

So people know he's a power lifter, and not just a regular fat guy?

Westworld 10 great. S1 great. Self-contained enough, no ridiculous cliffhangers, but still open ended. I give it a 9.5/10. Up there with The Wire, TD, Fargo.

Not a spoiler, but there's about ~45 seconds of show left after the closing credits I almost missed.

I enjoyed myself but there's no way that WW belongs in the same tier as Wire and Fargo. It's a solid Tier 2.

Renton thanks for that link in last month's thread. Didn't get around to reading it until a few days ago. Definitely some interesting stuff and also I'll have to reread a lot of the first section.

My personal experience lines up pretty perfectly with what he's saying.

Also nuclear: the article touches briefly on digesting the different proteins. I always thought it was due to the fat but I have tons of trouble digesting pork now, but it's possible that's the protein as well.

I mostly agree, but I'm gonna rewatch just to check and (S1 spoiler)
Spoiler:
also check where it was and what tipped me off that it was two timelines, look for other easter eggs, etc.
I loved this show.

Agree.

WW is almost too vague at some points and gets a little ridiculous. Lost did the same thing.

Spoiler:

2) also kinda amusing http://imgur.com/a/TJV97

I want season 1 to be the end of it. A perfect mini-series. But no, surely they will run it into the ground until it is cancelled when it is no longer profitable.

ETA: it was not without flaws. I mean I think many parts of the actual premise are just terrible. But they managed to hang a good story on it, so I forgive them.

I'm beginning to think that watching Goliath instead of WW was a mistake.

I'm beginning to think that not watching any TV since my daughter was born was a mistake.
