I'm currently on a bulking diet and my biggest problem is breakfast since I never have time to eat breakfast and have never had the habit of eating breakfast in my entire life so I never have an appetite when I wake up in the morning.

Thus, do you guys think it's a good idea then to just drink a shake every morning? They seem easy to make, you can quickly down one, and are also calorie dense.

If so, can someone give me some recipes for a tasty/something I would actually look forward to drinking, calorie-dense, easy to make shake?

Thanks

i make a shake every morning and drink it on the way to work...im not bulking so mine is just a scoop of casein and a scoop of whey...you could put olive oil or peanut butter or some fruit if you have time to blend it up...

Shake is a great idea in the morning, esp. if you're too lazy to prep something more elaborate.

1.5 cups milk, banana, scoop of whey protein, and one package of Sambazon Pure Acai from Whole Foods. Add a tbsp. of natural peanut butter since you're bulking. Blend.

When I'm in a hurry I take a couple scoops of whey with water, shake it and top it off with cream and nut oils. I just eat the banana with it, so I don't have to mess with blending.

shakes seem like a great idea for you OP. im a bit the same with eating breakfast, and although my goals are different from yours, i just tend to chuck in some oats, banana, blueberries, a little bit of yogurt, milk and even sometimes a raw egg. goes down smooth. mmmmmm...

tsearcher,

I bought some Walnut oil, would this be an appropriate "nut oil" to top with?

I'm afraid to answer.

I'm serious. Well not about topping shakes. But more about wtf I do with this walnut oil. It was an impulse buy near the meat counter. Can I just pour it over my dead animal flesh to give it a delightful woodland aspect?

OK.
Yeah, I use walnut oil, almond oil, and hazelnut oil. They all taste good mixed with the whey. They're good for making salad dressings. You could also try it for things you would normally use olive oil for. The smoke point is a little higher than olive oil, if that makes a difference to you.

Just taste it out of the bottle to see if you think you'll like it. It adds a nutty, slightly sweet taste to things. It seems to go pretty good with fish and vegetables. I've never tried it with red meat.

Being completely serious now, I've heard that nut oils go rancid rather quickly and should be refrigerated. Anyone have personal experience?

I keep them refrigerated. And I go through them pretty fast, so no problems for me.

does anyone have nutritional info. for their shakes?

also, does it really matter what my shake consists of? (for example, my shake has the same stuff my PWO shake has, etc., etc.)

and is it better to make these shakes with water or milk?

for you i would suggest full cream milk. tastes better, plus it will help with the bulking. also i really endorse chucking in a bunch of oats. oats, banana, yogurt, and a little bit of honey blended in with full cream milk tastes so damn good. sadly i have to be a bit more calorie conscious in my preparation. oh how i envy you ppl who are actually supposed to eat more

milk + whey is delicious and a very good combo. Milk itself is good.

I heard that "science proves you can gain 8.4 lbs of lean muscle in just 14 days" with nitrotech. And that's without milk.
