Another reason people point those things out is because you often post about how you are confused why you haven't lost more weight, or you post things like you gained 3lbs because of two workouts. It is worth pointing out that part of the issue could be a disparity in calories consumed vs calories logged, which as you continue to lose weight, will become a bigger deal, so it is good to get into the right habits. If your maintenance is 2700, it really doesn't matter if you ate 1700 or 2000 calories, you will lose. If your maintenance is 1800, it matters a lot.

I AM losing a lot of weight guys. Everyone keeps forgetting that I have lost 50+lbs since I started this log 6 months ago. I'd say my guestimates are working for me.

A lot of the time I get the feeling everyone here thinks I should be dropping 25lbs a month or something. I'm averaging 1.4lbs a week and I think that's pretty damn good.

I HAVE LOST A LOT OF WEIGHT!!!!
Stop criticising me already!!
Jesus Christ. Aren't you wanting to fit into a bikini this summer? Isn't that why you started this log, to be held accountable? That's what we are doing - holding you accountable. I am done, though. Good luck.

I want to be held accountable, but I also want some positive feedback and encouragement.
So much negativity just brings me down.

Stop.

People give you positive feedback all of the time. If you want non-stop cheerleading go to Weight Watchers or some other place where the fatties go to tell each other they're "just big boned" or "you just have a slow metabolism". Then you can sit around a feel all the positive vibes from all the people that are now, or will be again, obese.

Here you will get good advice. When you do good people will recognize it; when you do bad people will tell you. When something needs to be changed it will be pointed out. It's hard but it's fair. Just like losing weight.

This isn't oot. You get to decide what you want going on in your log. If you don't want them to post you can tell them to stop and if they don't, they get ban hammered.

I will give you that there is occasionally a little bit of mean girls, HS click tone to the posting from some of them. And I wonder just how in shape some of them actually are...but, I haven't read where any of them gave you terrible advice or didn't at least seem to be holding you to task for stuff you were thinking, doing etc that was wrong. Seems like they have been mostly on point with you. Maybe could be nicer...not sure you would hear it any better.

I mean everyone shuts their mouth when she is on target.

But of course the haters are going to come out when she has met goal 3 out of 11 days this month. Then she adjusts the calories to 1200 (which is crazy low when she can't even hit 1400) and then posts 2000+ back to back days.

This month has been very disturbing. I think she gotten complacent with the return of code3 and actually think the Jan1st weigh in is going to be 250 lbs.

I do like that she keeps tracking calories everyday, like monte said. And starting to exercise is huge also. But 3 out of 11, even with a propbet?!!! Weak and possibly the beginning of the end.

Get back on track.

Today's exercise:
30 mins walking at 3.0

Bench:
3x10x65

Squats:
3x10x65

Leg press:
3x10x150

That instructional video on squats was great. I worked on my form tonight and really felt it in my butt and hips.

I also swapped back and forth on the squats and bench with about a 20sec break in between. I got my heart rate up and was getting out of breath and actually sweated a lil. It felt good.

Great work!

I have to eat more during the day at work. I drive by the Mexican restaurant after the gym and was so tempted to order go order something because I was starving.

The fact that you've backslid a bit in the first part of the month probably also contributed, although to your credit you've kept logging (I think?); accountability is really important! Just keep refining your process and you should continue losing weight at the rate you want.
This.

Also this.

Log today...not sure how accurate the calories are. I'm not sure what constitutes a whole fillet.

Lunch today:
12-13-2016 , 11:50 PM
That lunch seems sub-optimal.
12-13-2016 , 11:51 PM
They catered in a Christmas lunch at work.

MLYLT,

What happened to the lunch you had packed for the day?

And?
12-14-2016 , 09:48 AM
Well it would have been rude to not eat it!! And of course if you're gonna eat might as well be sure to use a pound of cheese on the baked potato and never skip cobbler!
12-14-2016 , 10:31 AM
Black,

Criticize the other stuff, fine, but not eating delicious peach cobbler would be criminal.

peace cobbler looks even grosser than sushi with cream cheese. if i had to take a bite of that id lose my appetite for the rest of the day
12-14-2016 , 10:55 AM
i just read through the last page of the log. the criticisms have been pretty high quality. lots of good discussion and advice here. you'd have to be crazy to have this problem, ask for help, get this help, and then tell it to stop.

the title of this log is "learns to love herself." a good metric for how much someone likes themself is how they handle criticism. when you can handle criticism well that should be a pretty good sign you on a path to being comfortable with yourself.
12-14-2016 , 10:56 AM
Tom,

Wtf? How does something that is basically fruit pie look so gross to you it makes you lose your appetite. That is weird.

Cobbler is just a tastier version of pie.
12-14-2016 , 12:20 PM
Yeah cobbler was fine.

But the potato was just a slap in the face. I need a break, taking a month off. I can't handle the stress. This is spiraling out of control. Our great hope to put us back on the map is a moonshot.

Where is the wildebeest? On my knees praying to the H&F gods to give us the hero we deserve. 2016 just sucked for me. I had $60000 stolen from my car (I left it there momentarily). Then my fiancée left me. Then the Donald. And now H&F is hopeless. Just too much.

I am happy that there has been a lot of improvement for you. I would be proud of what you've accomplished (and will be proud if I can post in my log in a few months about losing 30 or 40 or 50lbs), but there's still a long way to go.

Speaking as a fellow "not much self control" type, there's a massive danger at this stage of backsliding, and I don't think some direct feedback on the subject is something you should shy away from.

Actually, I do really want to talk about the potato and go over the workout stuff. But I am leaving town for a while. Good luck, hope you get back on track. Going to be real hard through the holidays.
