How about just two or three eggs for breakfast? That would save significant calories.

I had 3 eggs for breakfast and I'm stuck eating Mexican food again for lunch.
I'm thinking of getting chicken fajitas and skipping the tortillas.

Waiting for someone to mention non-fat olives. France will rebel again.

Stuck? Have you fallen into a vat of chips and salsa?

Personally I'd rather the eggs alone or a little real cheese, vs the low fat and fat free stuff.

You prepped a ton of chicken, sweet potatoes and veggies for the week... yet your last 4 lunch/dinners are going out for Mexican, cheeseburgers, Texas BBQ, and lobster ravioli (which I assume is also eating out). Eat the meals you took the time to prep and stop eating out!

Wow, as I typed the above post, you revealed you were kidnapped by Mexicans and forced to eat at a Mexican restaurant again. Is all that food you prepped just sitting in your fridge going to waste?

The worst part is they'll keep putting the free chips in front of her and what's she supposed to do then?

Don't worry for the food - her daughter can eat it if necessary though of course it will be better if MLYLT eats it herself instead of dining out.

I've discovered that I really dislike going out to eat now. I hate sitting there while others eat chips, apps or bread. It sucks watching other people eat while hungry and waiting for your food; temptation city and just not fun for me. I avoid it now when I can. Plus the free advice that goes along with it; "oh one bite won't kill you." (as if I could stop myself with just one bite) "haven't you lost enough weight?" (no) "Just enjoy yourself." (not enjoyable) And I really hate that kind of focus on me.

Yes I know I can get a salad and usually do, but it still sucks.

Josie, that's just smart putting yourself in the easier/more correct situation and then making the best choice.

I appreciate the effort that you've put into your food, and the adjustments that you've made based on recommendations you've received.

It's nice to watch someone actually listen, implement, and succeed, as opposed to ignoring every piece of advice and following it up with a preemptive 'whoops!' or saying you're 'stuck' when that's not a real thing.

Yes! I know!!! The lunches are inexcusable, but I was in Tyler last night for therapy and I live in the boonies now and I would have had to wait till after 8 to eat dinner. My sis cooked the burgers because she ate my prepped dinner chicken, so I couldn't be like "nah, I'm not eating after you spent the time to cook for me"

Nope, my sis and nephew are eating it up.

It's very altruistic of you to donate the healthy food to your relatives while eating worse yourself.

Lunch:
About how much chicken is this?

I ate all of the chicken, no cheese, 1/2sc, 1/2guac, 1 tortilla, 1/4 squash.
06-08-2017 , 01:53 PM
This is how I logged lunch:

M,

It really boggles my mind that you've been weighing and logging food for what, like a year now?, yet still are asking questions like that about estimating portion sizes of common items you eat regularly.

Edit: written before log posted

Yes, yes you can.

Well, I think that is 6oz of chicken from my food weighing experience....I just want to check my estimation with the chicken experts here.

Should have downed all the veg to keep you from being hungry later.

I'm at 1020cals for the day right now, so I can still stay under 1500 if I eat my prepped meal for dinner.
