Is it normal to jack-hammer them like that? And yeah it looks like you're practically hitting yourself in the dick.

Mapmyrun

Halp? Thank ya.
I work for mapmyfitness, so, uh, yeah. But it's as good of a running app as any. You can also make it talk to you every set distance or time, telling you how far you've gone.

I'm not sure how easy it is to "draw maps" on the phone but it's pretty simple on the website, which is how I usually do it.

There are a bunch of other apps. Endomondo (also owned by my parent company), Runkeeper, Strava, etc.

Thanks! Damn option overload. I guess I'll just have to try one and see. I'll start with mapmyrun.

Evo,

Are those close grips?

No this is my regular grip. Afraid to go wider because of aforementioned pec tendon sensitivity. + My triceps are just way stronger than my pecs at this point I'm sure.

Rusty, I go to create a route and get a popup saying "There was a problem saving your route. Please see possible solutions HERE," which takes me to a full blown tutorial on how to do it which I'm absolutely not reading. Your company sucks dicks. I'm switching apps.

Ya, going wider will put more emphasis on your pecs but i would at least try going wider and touching higher with less tuck.

If biggerboat also works for mapmyfitness everything suddenly makes sense.

Eco,

What is your goal with your bench? Is it to build your pecs, powerlifting, or to get a good triceps pump. Your technique seems like it would be good for the last option but non ideal for the first 2.

We're hiring!

We may make you do something as difficult as create a course though before you come on board.

Really just 2 and 3 since I will just do incline+machines to actually build more aesthetic pecs.

But yeah I guess I'll try wider grip+touching higher. I'm thinking the pec tendon problems are more related to just moving too heavy of weights rather than technique.

If any of you chess bros are interested, I'm "lolwatsarook" on the chess.com app. Pretty much only played my friend and only know two strategies (one black, one white) so trying to work on it.

I can play at night US west coast time, which I don't imagine is great for you. Also,I don't like to play blitz games against guys who just play the same opening over and over, so if that is what you do I would probably want to play a longer game, like at least 12 min each.
05-06-2015 , 06:10 PM
I'm actually in the states now until July, so we'd have a few months at least.

My friend who I play is in Turkey so we normally do the long matches and move 3 or so times a day. I'd be happy to play some 10 minute games though, I think quicker than that and I'd just get stomped.

I'm a beginner and figured the best way to be even slightly competitive against my friend is to get two strategies down to where I'm competent at them, so currently I do the same opening for white and black each time
05-06-2015 , 06:10 PM
12 minutes sounds like a blitz game to me. Maybe that is why I like live poker. I don't mind if we only play five hands an hour.
05-06-2015 , 06:19 PM
Ok, it will probably be after 10 PM west coast time for the next few weeks because I always try to catch the late nba playoff game, but I will look for you at night and hopefully get some games in.
05-06-2015 , 06:22 PM
great sounds good
05-06-2015 , 06:23 PM
12 min is pretty fast, but I feel it gives me enough time to think my way out of situations with players who aren't as good as me who are more familiar with the opening we are playing. If the other guy is better than me, it is a moot point and I am probably gonna lose no matter the time limit or opening.
05-06-2015 , 06:28 PM
I use mapmyfitness all the time. Works fine.
05-06-2015 , 07:24 PM
Holy ****. Need a more seasoned player's feedback, but this seems like an elite ice breaker.

I see a lot of people putting their feet up on the bench, maybe try that.

If you don't have a better response better than his then I'd say it sucks pretty bad.

Nah, it just sucks pretty bad.

I prefer "I'm a humble mother ****er with a big ass dick" myself.
