Poll: should saw bang a fat chick?
05-02-2014 , 11:19 PM
bixby,

Link to pics broken; just an oversight I'm sure.

But no matter how fat she is, he should bang her, if only so POW can live vicariously through him. It's the only way he gets to experience bacon.

Ya I'm FAR from an expert when it comes to woodworking but I have experience with planing and I think that is a bridge that should not be crossed by a novice. The main reason I recommended doing an outdoor project is because you can be a bit more lax when it comes to the finer details.

Nice rhetorical question.

In other news I may lose 10 lbs tonight. It is about 70f outside and our house is maintaining 76f inside (lol ac in AK houses).

Now that I think of it, you should take your own advice and get your own fat chick.

In mediocre gym challenge news, this month it is "bench 50% of your bodyweight for reps". Current leader has 28 reps (of 37.5kg loooooool). What would you set the line for me: bw 81kg current 1RM: ~112.5kg.

Yeah, all bookiess here take enormous vig too. Usually 5-10% on head-to-head bets and they often don't offer a draw.

That said, the online market is pretty competitive here and they're always offering "bonus" bets. e.g. last night for example sportsbet had a multi offering $5 for both Morris brothers to score which would have been more like $2.50 if you had picked it without the bonus... That said, it's still pretty hard to calculate the actual edge you get (if it exists ldo) because:

a) Their regular odds are so terrible
b) I doubt they're offering anything with a decent edge

Wendler's formula suggests you should be able to get around 53, so let's say that.

i take the under on 53 because lolcardio, maybe over on 35? dunno. not going to decide without jdocks input.

28 - lol.

My 1RM/BW ratio is a bit more than yours, and its been 15+ years since I tried doing a ~50 rep set, but I would guess I can do somewhere between 50-100 reps, because lolcardio.

There's semi-popular sport in Finland called toistovoimapunnerrus. It's basically bodyweight bench press for max reps with your legs in the air. Good results are 40+ with a few guys going for over 50.

How could anyone ever bench half their bodyweight for less than 28 reps?
05-03-2014 , 12:44 AM
current second place (out of two) is a 115kg guy who benched 20 reps. my gym is a cruddy ymca, and i don't think the guys who could put up proper numbers bother to enter

The top nfl players cannot do body weight 40+ reps with their legs down. But I am sure inland has much stronger, more athletic people than the US, so that probably explains things.

Lost my Portland-4 but what a great shot from Lilliard.

Calling scotch bros.

How much does scotch change after cracking the seal? I've got a bottle of lagavulin 16 here that I drank about 1/3rd of but didn't enjoy it that much because it seemed too smokey for me... but I just had another one now (months - possibly ~12 after opening it) and it seems much milder now.

If it makes a difference, it's been "stored" on my "liquor shelf" (on top of my kitchen cupboard) where it probably ranges from about 50f to 105f and it's generally fairly humid.

You don't think there's a difference between relatively small people training specifically for high rep bench press competitions, and big guys just randomly attempting it?

Here's 65x bodyweight... done by 59,5 kg guy. That's 131 lbs, I doubt there's nfl players that size.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3g44KbyvYo

edit: fwiw in 100kg (220 lbs) weightclass, the NR is only 46. In 120+ kg it's only 30. So the results drop drastically in higher weight classes. Those are probably more comparable to results of NFL players. And the 120+ NR guy is actually pretty strong too, so idk why you'd expect NFL players to somehow be superior in this.

Sometimes classical and every now and then meth-rap but other genres are being played very rarely.

I like this song a lot, also:
