Lump On Treadmill Running Deck

Strange issue hear; i found a small limp on the running deck of my York Pacer 3701 treadmill. I rang their support who said it is probably moisture that got into the MDF deck. They said they cannot do anything since it's parts are no longer stocked. I spend like £900 on it many years ago and would hate to have to buy a new one and don't like the idea of buying a second hand spare from ebay since that may be damaged or on its way out as well
Is there anything i can do with it; should i scrap the lump away? What else can i do?
Thanks

You should really have a doctor check out your lump.
Wait what is this about?
