DPSnutrition.com has good prices.

Also, you can use 10PerOffScivation at bb.com and that usually helps.

Ai guess I'll take a different route and say if I could only do two of the big compound movements it would be squats and PCs. Dl would be close. F the pressing movements, though I really only hate hate the OHP.

I guess i r weird

have you guys ever cleaned and then pressed then nearly blacked out a second later? I was a about 2 seconds from blacking out one time when I pressed, it felt like the first time i was ever rocked from a punch.

All the time actually. This happens to me with snatches, deadlifts, squats. . .basically everything.

I make sure to take 2-3 deep breaths during each rep of set so I don't black out.

Try it out!

it was like the first rep and im usually good with my breathing, so it freaked me out

This happens to me a fair amount. I only clean but i defo get a bit lightheaded and depending on how ****ty my rack is I feel like i'm gonna black out.I keep jamming my neck/windpipe with bar bleh, I love PC so much tho.

Deadlifts are fine aside from going from mildly sweaty to absolutely dripping pishing sweat all over the barbell in the 30 seconds I take to do my reps.

I second MM. Squats make me cry with my fail at them. DL make me feel like a man

Maybe it is satisfying when it is over, but while it is going on by the time I get to that 4th-5th rep all I can think about is how much my entire body hurts from the strain, how exhausted I am, and how I really really want it to be over.

I think squatting is my fav just because you release so much testosterone and hormone it just puts me in beast mode to jump right into deadlifting or pressing.

I find benching to be the lamest and most tedious exercise out of the "big 3" but I like teh chesticles so I do it.

i thought kyleb said squats lower test?

Research by scientists from the University of Connecticut examined the hormonal responses and adaptation to resistance exercise and training. They noted that high-volume, moderate-to-high-intensity weight training, using short rest intervals and stressing a large muscle mass, multiple joint exercises (legs, Chest, Back, shoulders) tended to produce the greatest acute hormonal elevations (notably testosterone and GH). In comparison low-volume, high-intensity resistance training methods using long rest intervals did not induce a similarly high hormonal response. Sports Med 2005; 35(4):339-61

If I had to guess, squats lower test from the time you do them until you go to bed. The next day your test levels would be (a little bit) higher.

Guessing...

Solution to make running suck less:

07-15-2010 , 03:38 PM
Quote:
"The Crossfit / USA Weightlifting Open will feature athletes competing in three disciplines: the Olympic-style snatch and clean & jerk as well as a third CrossFit event called the Triplet. The Triplet will be as many rounds as possible in 10 minutes of six squat cleans (55kg men / 30kg women), 12 pull-ups and 24 double unders," said USA Weightlifting CEO Rick Adams (Colorado Springs, CO).

Athletes will compete in the seven women’s and eight men’s Olympic weight divisions as they vie for titles. Scores will be total kilos lifted in the best snatch and clean and jerk using international weightlifting standards plus total number of reps in the Triplet.
So, update on this - one of our gym members emailed the people running this and the scoring system is likely to be 1 point per kg in each lift and 5 pts per completed round of the triplet. That is actually very reasonable IMO. The triplet is weighted appropriately - doing very well on it will help but only if your lifts are reasonably strong as well. Definitely better than it could have been.

Since crossfit is so new and there's barely any info on the web about it, there's no way to tell.

Any problem with using real maple syrup as simple carb in PWO Shake?
07-15-2010 , 07:22 PM
It'd be a much more expensive way of doing it.
07-15-2010 , 07:22 PM
Sounds good to me.

Yum. Real maple is awesome.
07-15-2010 , 07:27 PM
Canadians ITT.
07-15-2010 , 11:27 PM
I actually prefer the fake syrup my dad used to make.

Also, poutine is ****ing disgusting.
