Trust me on this one. He would squat 275x1 if any of us were there filming for S&F. And he would deadlift 375 again. And he could do it today.
His gains are somewhere deep deep inside. His last rep is really not his last rep. If he can reach that last rep, Gainzville will be in sight.
Might bust his back though. You have to have hold form to reach the last rep. I know personally, I haven't been able to do that. I can reach the last rep on squat but with ****ty form. Same with deadlift. Downtown went backbusto reaching the last rep with ****ty form. And now it's game over, erryday is upperbody day.
Make some valid points and typically I'm so concerned with proper form/ injury prevention, it holds me back at times. I feel like now, its different though. I'm making myself feel almost uncomfortable. The other day I didn't think I could do another rep after completing 245x2 but went for another one and used every bit of energy to get it up. Likely squatted uneven, too much on toes but if I want to make gains, I need to feel uncomfortable at times. I did it all the time when I used to bench and eventually hit 275x1 or whatever the exact numbers were.

Something like that. I think it was an error reading though. After I got back from gym it read 169 so it was totally inaccurate.
