My first job out of college was doing research with a clinical chemistry company, basically the company that makes all the testing products. And I was basically always drawing my own blood, because I needed blood to run my tests. Anyways, at that point I could have checked any level I wanted myself for free, although at the time the thought never occurred to me to bother.

Yea when I asked about a test test at my physical the doc was like "lol it doesn't matter every dude is scared of having low t suddenly because of all these ads and supplements but there's no reason to test that so we won't" and I was just like uhhhh OK.

Freddo: that site is not going to work. Looks pretty sparse on the thyroid/test front, and takes a lot of money to include those. I remember finding something that did a lot of the test and thyroid subcategories for reasonable $.

Yea that's exactly what I'd expect from a doctor haha.

Yeah but they charged me a lot for it. Or it seemed like a lot. ~$130

I wish there was an easier way to just get it done regularly for less money. wah wah.

Make a friend who works for Quest Diagnostics or Abbott or whatever. Although you would still have to figure out a way to get your own blood and draw it for them.

And this is probably no surprise, but the test you guys are paying $130 for takes like 10 seconds to do, and costs the company basically nothing to make the consumables. When I worked for the clinical chemistry company I would go through like $1,000+ (if sold at face price on the open market) of consumables/day like it was nothing, which it was.

Yeah of course. I remember when I had my physical it was like $100 for the test and $30 to get my T tested lol. ONE extra thing was $30 extra. gmafb.

I happen to agree with him that tilapia is terrible (as their are other fish options that are far superior), but am not quite as militant about it.

Lol I was being serious. I'm eagerly awaiting a 50 page dissertation about why I'm wrong about tilapia, however.

I'm not looking this **** up, but just google vids of tilapia farms. Gross man.

Personally, I ate way too much of that **** when I was in my early 20s, and it just turns my stomach now. The flavor isn't bad, but it's certainly not good.

Yeah, it's pretty depressing that I work in an industry where a number of things that have little to no incremental cost increase get foisted on the consumer at gigantic markups. At least I can sleep at night by realizing that much of that cost is a way to recoup large up front R&D costs. Lucky for you that, working in your field, your hands are clean in this respect; must be nice.

He is using the parlance of the Internet to say that he said something racist at a minority person. Unfortunately we (the Internet) have determined the story to be a fabrication. See how I just passed on the easy racist joke that could have been made with "fabrication"? That is because I only like high-level humor, like fart and dick jokes and stuff that is zany, like KidCollin-style improv.

spaghetti falling out of your pocket is a 4chan thing bros. CR has been flagged as a possible /fit/ bro. But wait. He does not even lift. This is not the hero we were promised.

I'm more concerned that DT is cheating on us with 4chan, but perhaps that unforgiving crucible of infinite sadness is where his elite trolling skills, which we now enjoy, were initially developed.

I was thinking the same thing.

For evo, cliffs are there are better fish protein sources, and tilapia are raised in conditions which are horrible and should make you feel horrible.

Ain't nobody routinely testing T levels at a routine physical. Probably not even thyroid. If after talking to you and examining you there are signs or symptoms to suspect something may be wrong, then they might get tested.

I haven't looked it up in a while, but for someone SAW's age, I think the only thing that is indicated for someone his age with no problems would be cholesterol.
