100g of mustard? really? Are we talking like Frenches type mustard? Seems a bit excessive since I usually don't use more than 10g on a sandwich/meal when I have it.

Hey mate , it was less than half a jar, and the jar was 200ml...more like 60-80, but thought it best to be conservative. Likewise it wasnt just with the steak. It was as a dip with the chicken too... The cal count was like a 120 cal based on 100ml for the lot.

Truthfully I don't know...should probably go to the dr and get check up. Was thinking about getting home monitor. are they worth it?

They are not that expensive, I think it would be worth it, you could monitor any progress due to weight loss for additional motivation. You are def a high risk individual for hearth disease and it is a good measurement of overall health.

I own one and don't have high blood pressure, I still log values every now and again.

When was your last time you had a physical and blood work done by your doctor?

Not having any idea of BP numbers I would venture a guess. Never!

Yes, it was sorta rhetorical. I didn't start regular annual checkups until around 40 but I didn't have health insurance in my 30's. Someone that overweight should have regular check ups long before 40 imo.

Ok so withings have a home BP kit which would also synch with everything else on my app. Last time I went to the Dr was when I was at my hugest 5 months ago. Blood work clean. Cholesterol a little bit high, but blood sugar levels normal..No other issues.

I had planned to go to the Dr this month anyway for another issue, will also ask for a full check up. (Ingrowing toe nail they keep taking out but keeps coming back!)

Sorry must have been asleep when I replied! Swings going fine....Def less sore now compared to when I first started....

Tgu's have come on a bit slower....started with a shoe as advised. Moved on to something a bit heavier (a petanque boule). Have started doing TGUs with my 163kg kb but it's slow going....

Mentioned to Monte that will try to start logging in here from now on.

]Starting weight: 163kg
week 1 160.3kg
week 2 157.3kg
week 3 154.4kg
week 4 152.9kg
Week 5 150.6kg
Week 6: 148.6kg
Week 7: 146.0kg
Week 8: 143.5kg
Week 9: 141.8KG
Week 10: 141.2kg
Week 11: 139.3kg
Week 12: 138.5kg
Week 13: 135.7kg
Week 14: 133.8kg
Week 15: 133.1kg
Week 16: 132.0kg
Week 17: 129.8kg
week 18: 129.0kg
Week19: 126.1kg

Weight today: 125.7kg

Loss for the week 0.4kg

Loss to date: 37.3kg

Obviously a little dissapointed, but just kind of glad didn't put any weight on. I assume that I didn't really lose 2.9kgs last week and this was some sort of rebalancing...that being the case 3.3 kgs over 2 weeks is still great.

Strange that they would test for cholesterol and not blood pressure especially since it is such a fast and simple procedure compared to determining cholesterol values. The combination of the two are needed for any reasonable risk assessment of hearth disease.

Yes, any Dr or Urgent Care in the states BP is the first thing they check, every visit.

It was at a Dr Who was checking if I had sleep apnea. She gave me a home sleeping kit and took blood...She didn't ask about my heart.

Have to add , she wasn't a gp but a sleep Dr.... In Germany you can go straight to the specialist without visiting the gp first.

Just out of curiosity, does your dentist check your BP? Here(USA) when you go in for a checkup or cleaning they always check your BP. I think they started that back in the late 80's or 90's. They figured a lot of people don't go to the Doctor very often but they usually go to the dentist twice a year, and it would be a good way to screen people for high BP
