i am having trouble understanding something about the clean. I see videos where people literally jump and videos where they don't actually leave the ground. Reading in Rip it seems like you are supposed to leave the ground but then I see (for example) this video thirddan posted where it seems like it's just the heels coming off a little.

My trainer basically said that at lower weights (all my reps since starting a month ago have been 65-95) it isn't necessary to leave the floor and as weight increases you need more leg power which is why you see people cleaning 200 or whatever with a full jump.
We did reps today both ways and it all felt pretty awkward bc I'm trying to think about five different things at once. Reps where I fully jumped were the most awkward though. Generally, though, what should my feet be doing during the second pull?
I will have videos in two weeks, trainer is going to video all my lifts next time I work with him.
