I see people doing **** like that all the time, they pick up the end with the weight and move it around, back and forth and what not.

So it's not rare to found a barbell in a corner like that.

Monday evening, and I did only see a single new guy at the gym, who seemed to be amused about the way I used a wall like a bar, to rest my upper body. Space and free benches everywhere.

bar in the corner is fine. Any bar you feel you like in any corner you feel like is not fine. That **** is for a ****ty bar in a designated corner because everything will be beat to ****.

Rack pulls from above the knee are for giant ******s. Whoever is doing them invariably is an ego lifting piece of **** who grunts audibly in a way which is not consistent with the valsalva maneuver solely to attract attention to how much weight they have on the bar. To make things worse they often damage the bar by slamming it un-necessarily to get bounce so they have to do even less work.

Lots of fatties tonight, mostly walking on the treadmills. The place was busy but not packed. Then the best gym troll Ive seen-

Tinybro Asian reg pumps up a treadmill to God knows what and starts to carioca, jump to run backward, back to carioca, hops off, leaves it running and peaces out.

Many lulz were had.

Are they doing rack pulls or power shrugs? I can't imagine doing a rack pull with that short of a ROM.

I came really close to filming a guy on the pull up assist machine standing on it and pushing himself all the way up so he was practically in a dip position, like it was some kind of kids ride.

Then I realized I would have felt uber bad -- it became obvious he had some sort of slight mental and slight physical handicap so props for him being in there alone and doing stuff, even if it was all sort of randomish.

two guy's got into and argument today (idk what about) next thing I know one guy is going crazy pointing his fingers and screaming , the other guy runs over to the weight tree and grabs a 2.5 or 5lb plate( not sure which one i was kind of far away) runs over to the guy who's screaming and yelling and smashes him over the head with the weight, guy goes down then he kicks the guy in the face( stomped actually) like 3 or 4 times and runs out the door. ambulance came cops ect ect. craziest **** i've ever seen, happened mid afternoon too.the guy who got hit was pulled out in a stretcher.

My only ggo is probably not NYR related as it was midnight Sunday night. What I believe was a str8 legged deadlift cardio that [as usual] was loudly bounced off the ground.
