Trainer brings a new client to squat next to me while I'm DLing. I'm impressed. Trainer tells the guy some basics - knees out, get to at least parallel, bar low - and then does a few demo reps with very decent form. In now very impressed. Trainer then has client to 5 reps with just the bar and client gets nowhere near depth. I'll generously call it a half-squat.

Trainer: "ok great. Let's throw on 50 more lbs and do some more!"

I suppose it is a pretty standard observation but what pisses me off is people asking you in the middle of a set whether you are using another machine when quite clearly you aren't.

Pls elaborate. Like he's squatting so shallow he just left whatever bench was sitting there and straddled it, knowing it wouldn't be in the way? Or is this not even in a rack?

Not in the rack which was being used. He got tired of waiting so he straddled the bench press bench, picked up the bar, and started squatting right there. To be fair he did bounce off the bench a couple times.

Eh...I'm guilty of this one. I know it's purely a mental thing, but sometimes I count my reps out loud even with the headphones on. Keeps me focused as they get harder.

Purely mental thing for me. Carry on.

new couple at the gym today. The guy was benching 95 pouunds and in between sets his girl friend would give him a nice shoulder rub. Then when he lied down 2 do hes set she wold give him the spider man kiss(upside down kiss). 2 top it off she did all his weight changes and put back the weights while he sat on the bench.

Wish my wife would do the weights 4 me. I'm ok without the rub down and kissing.

Then big dude maybe 350+ pounds started 2 squat beside me. Pulled up a bench i assumed for depth. But all he did was put his heals 2 the base and squat about 2 inches down. Guess he just wanted to make sure his feet were lined up.

Noticing it more and more. But, rookjobs are unscrewing the pin pull outs instead of just pulling on them. I actually pulled one off the other day, it was that loose. I imagine they can't figure out how it works so they twist on it, or it's chicks that lack the strength.

Guy doing dumbbell bench press gaspslook out! and then drops them.

7 minutes later he attempts the same weight and fails on the 4th rep and flings them sideways a bit so they bounce and roll. He then snaps his fingers oh right, look out!

only include the code to the right of the = and to the left of the %feature. Basically paste only a set of letters in between the youtubes/
