While I was squatting yesterday, a bro started curling (terrible curls at that) in the next rack. TWO SEPARATE PEOPLE asked him how many sets he has remaining and, rather than offering to leave or allowing them to work in, he obliviously answered with the number he had remaining. Making it worse was, rather than adding a ten when he was done curling with a quarter on each side, he took off the 25s and walked across the gym to get 35s to put on the bar. Upon finishing that set, he walked away, leaving the weights on the bar and not even telling the lifter who was waiting that he was through. The guy who was waiting took the collar off the bar and threw it down pretty hard and I said rather loudly toward the bro, "don't worry....someone else will strip your plates for you," but to no avail.
Later, I was preparing to do some hanging leg raises (don't laugh....they're good for core strength, especially if you can get your feet up to or above head level), the same bro obliviously walked in front of me and started doing terrible low pulley cable rope curls, somewhat blocking me from the overhead grips. LOL when he started doing "up the stack" drop sets, where he'd do five reps (he was capable of ten IMO....it looked like he was ensuring he didn't get too tired to finish his set -- LOL), set the weight stack pin one position higher, get five more, and repeat -- up to the top of the stack. After a minute of this, I grew tired of waiting and decided to get my set in. I figured if he ended up with my heel hitting the side of his head, it could knock some sense into him.
He took his next set to a different low pulley.
