Well, I guess. I was throwing a spoon. But really I was just trying to get an idea of the area. I live on an island in the bay. There are 2 apartment complexes owned by the same company on this island and I can fish anywhere on their property. On my side is the open bay - fairly shallow. I could wade fish in a huge area. On the back side is some deeper water and a bunch of mangrove islands.

I think the water is a bit cold right now to do well where I am. But people have been telling me that the snook are all over the place when it warms up.

The water is sorta clear. Saw some sheepshead but nothing else except mullet and bait fish.

Yeah, kayak would really be sweet here. They tend to bugger my back if I'm in them too long but short trips would be ok. Great idea.

interestingly enough I just bought some C4 yesterday and tried it today for the first time. I didn't have to make an appointment to get my FL license and it took maybe 15 minutes tops. On the plus side, mine is good for 8 years.
