I want to run Boston as a bucket list kind of thing. It's harder to get in than I previously thought. Most of these runners get in by running 60+ miles a week.
I tried last year on 33 miles a week and failed by 1 lousy minute.
I have gotten more skinnyfat since running. I talked about it a few weeks ago. My waist is larger at a lower bodyweight than when I lifted. Gotta make sacrifices to hit certain goals. I wasn't willing to run 40+ miles a week because research shows those guys have lower testosterone.
So yes, high mileage equals more skinnyfat and less T. Runners look like shiet, I was by far one of the most upperbody jacked in Berlin. But I also willing to take some hits to run Boston. Plus I am going to see my brother in Chicago. He passed away, but I know he is going to show up in my delirium starting mile 20. He was the best runner in the family but he lost his way with alcohol and obesity and badly dealt health hand.
