Locomachinegun? Those days are over bro, you aren't in the 160s club anymore. Time to cut.

Deload week

Squat
255x5x2

Press
135x5x2
135x2x2

Noticed the bar kept getting out in front of me on my right side. Did a couple of extra reps to figure out why/correct.

RDL
275x8x2

Curls
40sx8x2

First ever true deload week. I've taken weeks off before but never gone in and lifted such submaximal weights. Felt glorious.

Is this just an exercise layout for your BPA/strength thingy or whatever? Or are you starting from scratch?

It's still under the max effort template, but I moved a couple of things around so that I can bench twice a week. The template is more about a rep scheme than a guide to how to structure programming anyway.

Did not. Thought about it but am sticking to the program, which has me testing Deadlift max in three weeks

I still think If you put on 15 pounds of fake lbm and fat and got on Texas method your maxes would start skyrocketing up much quicker.

You're probably right, but as you know, that's not what I want. I would rather stay thick and tight all year even if that means slower gains.

Bad as in good? I notice there seems to be a female elf in the movie. I predict an Oscar sweep.

Soulman,

I'm not sure if you're aware, but not every movie needs to be a 90 minute silent black and white opus where people in berets smoke long thin cigarettes, eat baguettes, and congratulate themselves for how much less racist they are than filthy Americans while throwing bananas at soccer players.

fakebusto,

I am not a comic book nerd, but my limited understanding is that the overall goofy/irreverant tone from the trailer mimics the original comic, and most fanboys are pretty pumped. I'm enthusiastic to see it on an airplane in 6 months.

Lies, filthy lies!

Anyway, to expound a little on the predicted awfulness: I'm a comic book nerd very light, and I cringe a little at the more out there Marvel/DC stuff that's over the top super nerdy comic book guy. Thanks for confirming all stereotypes about comics dudes!

I'm all for lighthearted adaptions like the Avengers which are actually well done. I'm predicting Guardians will be another Green Lantern. Of course, the bosses at Marvel/DC/movie studious probably don't give a **** as long as they make a quick buck.

Soulman,

I have literally never read a comic book, but whatever, don't let that stop you. My only point was that my zeroth order knowledge of the buzz around this movie (from reading io9 every now and again) is that the fanboys are pretty excited about his one, and from your oldfrenchmanyellsatminorities.jpg style reaction it seems that you are perhaps not the target audience for this particular film.

Plus I thought the trailers looked kind of awesome.

Looks good to me. So Zoe Saldana is typecast as the semi-human hot alien in every sci fi movie now? If yes, I am very ok with that.

This will not be another Green Lantern. C'monson. The trailer looks excellent. Could you say the same about GL? Nope. And Marvel Studios has one hell of a track record. I trust them to deliver an above average film.

lol.

But I guess, if it's targeted at the fanboys. I watch a lot of the comic book adaption and enjoy the trashier ones as well (like all the wolverine stuff) but avoid the ones that get trashed like the green lantern, silver surfer etc. And I am French after all, so dull action movies obviously aren't my cup of earl gray, a biscuit and a Yorkshire pudding.
