My kids also both love Sprite. Sounds like we should organize a playdate for the five of them and N1H.

It's a known fact that the majority of shoulder injuries occur from kid pressing. Still if you want to keep being considered SuperDad by your wee ones I suggest you work through the pain.

Make sure the soft tissue above the area that hurts is loose. If you dig around in the quads or front of the hips and find any tightness, that's probably at least contributing to, if not causing, the pain.

Thx both. I am just having an active rest week... between my knee (seems fine) and shoulder (seems sore), I just am walking a bit more than usual and otherwise taking it easy. Back at it on Sunday or Monday, most likely.

Hopefully the semi-break helps and you're good to go soon. At least your knee is feeling ok.

Then I Planned to swim, but I had to cut things short bc my son (4yo) got bit in the face by a dog. Uff. He's ok. 19 stitches though. Life - always exciting. K.

Yeah he should be ok (gonna get checked this week again) but the fact the cut was on his eyelid and a big slice on his forehead made it kinda scary. His eye is swollen shut today. The bite was probably 2-3mm from being a severe eye injury. All in all I'm thankful he's ok. The story is pretty... exciting.

He let the (big ~80lbs) greyhound out by leaving a gate open, not knowing the greyhound was outside. The dog would not necessarily run away, but my son knows he's not supposed to be outside off leash. So the dog is standing in the yard and my son (45lbs) who is by himself (really just around the corner from adults) tackles the dog and gets bit - the dog is otherwise really friendly, so I'm not worried otherwise in non-tackling situations.

Anyway, having tackled the dog, my son first drags the dog into the front door of the house (about 30ft) and only then calls for help. I felt proud of the little dude, he is really a helper in his heart and obviously very brave! It's difficult for a 4yo to know he probably just could have grabbed the dogs collar. Maximum response USA#1 style imo.

45 pound kid sledding 80 pounds already. Wat. Definitely no child of EV.

My niece got bit by a pitbull when she was 5. Right on the cheek. Scarred for life, but looks kinda cool now (she is 18).

Thx all. I wrote a long update, but then deleted - there is an infection, which is to me the scariest possibility, and he will hopefully be ok, but we don't know yet for sure. I don't want to quantify it, but I'll say he will be fine. I am quite anxious about stuff that has to do with my family, so I also have to work with optimizing my own responses, which have nothing to do with his health. I was also lucky enough to welcome a new niece in the past few days, so that is some good news!

Feeling anxious bc of everything, got to gym to de-stress. I feel better, like everyone always does after the gym, but I'm still feeling pretty high anxiety levels.
