Today I'm 80.0kg. Had to get in that. Not often you have the perfect result.

Tomorrow it will be spoiled

190 this morning. Variance sucks, but eating a can of cranberry sauce and a large amount of poultry stuffing is probably more the issue. Still, I am down 3 lbs this month so far, which is within my goals. Largest circumference around my belly was 39". A few more inches to lose before I will be roughly shaped like a human.

Joining a gym on Monday. Three days per week of strength training is the goal.

Went to the gym. It turns out that I am what the experts call "extremely weak."

No news is good news. Think from now on I will not necessarily post five daily weights at a time. Why make this more boring than necessary? Think four is about the minimum, maybe will post a dozen or something at times, it'll show.

Have you thought about muscle bulking a little bit now? Wouldn't be hard with the new rice and pasta diet.

I am very familiar with 6'3" lean male bodies....my preferred body type.
At 176lbs your stomach is looking good, but you could prolly benefit from some more chest and arms muscles.

I don't think I will build more muscles. I'm getting old and the shoulders can't take what they used to. My daily workouts are 30 minutes, about half strength training with far from maximum resistance, and half cardio. More like keeping agility up

189 this morning. 4lbs this month. Still sore from my first weightlifting workout on Monday. The sad thing is that I believed that I was doing a wimpy enough workout to not overdo it.

Will do a very light workout after work today.

Thanks, my friend. Actually did the workout I said I was going to do this evening. Basic compound movements.

Have had some shoulder problems at both sides for a year, limited range mainly, don't reach my back as before for example. Have thought it could be frozen shoulder and with some luck become better by itself.

Somehow think that part indeed has become better, but now the pain especially to the left has become different, not only coming when stretching to the limit, but feeling also a bit at rest. Earlier painless movement have started to hurt a bit. So now I'm thinking if I could have overdone something, even if I've been very careful, imo.

So now the plan, the experiment, is this: I will not do "anything" with the upper body in December, but concentrating on the lower and middle body, and see how things develop. I have always known there may be a plan B, or even C, will continue going to the gym anyhow.

It would probably be worth your time to talk to a physician or physical therapist. There might be an easy few exercises you can do to help heal yourself up. Alternatively, you can use your injuries to get out of doing household tasks, such as washing the dishes.

I don't want to brag, but I did another one of those workout thingamajigs this evening.

Thanks for the advice. Think I will look at how my upper body rest project pays off first though. Felt a bit strange to be at the gym, doing nothing with the shoulders involved. But there's so much else! Will report how it feels weekly, as we count down the year of 2018.

Some more prices, bought today, cents/100cal:

Bread: 20
Sliced sausage for the bread: 29
Sliced cheese for dito: 38

Chicken minced meat: 67. Meat is, as stated, surprisingly expensive with its mere 1cal/gram. And this is from the cheaper side. As long as it's not the base of the diet it's ok.

Caramel bag (!): 25

So bread is back on my menu. Why not a caramel bag now and then also, you can't let yourself get bored with the food you eat. And the calories aren't expensive

But stuffing up the freezer also, will report when more ready...

Must post a pic of my legs when I'm ready. Leaving out upper body doubles the lower body workout. The positive is I already feel a bit better in the left shoulder, extrapolate that and you never know what happens. But think I'll test continuing rest. So YOU will be the man lifting iron itt.

Weighing every day really helps keeping the weight. Think I partly subconsciously have eaten less today. Without the readings I wouldn't have a clue, and things would slip in no time.

Fixing one kilogram is and will be far far easier than fixing five.

81.1kg. My hunch I may have been eating a bit too much may be correct. It kind of is embedded in the numbers, even if there are some 79.x too. Anyway I have decided to do more changes if ever hitting 78.x (eating more) or 81.x (eating less). So eating less now, probably 0.5-1.0kg to lose.

It probably is my new diet, giving the body an excuse to try to rise the weight. Think things are getting real now. A bit of hunger is the thing to live with, for the greater good.

81.3kg. Yes, my new diet is definitely fattening.

So here is the deal: will have five VLCD-smoothies per day as before, but more dispersed through the day, that's 600 cal. One prepared salad/day, the one I'm having today has 500 cal, usually they are around 400.

When hungry it will be vegetables and berries, as varying as possible, not caring about the cost/cal of course. This is a total of a notch above 1000 calories, don't know if it will feel like enough. I may add one of my pasta-rice/meat combinations, 400-500 cal, but that's it. So say 1100-1600 cal/day until at least one weight below 80kg.

This is life
