Thanks. Quite a project this has been.

The each day weighing will naturally continue, not really prepared to do this again. The warning bells will ring in time.

This is Zen:

A couple of decades back from the similar music I hear every day in the gym. Fortunately I like it!

194. Moved across town and that messed with my food intake. Also drank like a fish up until this last Monday night.

Did 10 push-ups today because someone said I couldn't.

That works out to 22 lbs lost over the past 20 weeks.

Nice progress! Find a way of keeping it down, and you win.

I still have about 20 lbs to lose. It isn't rocket science for me. I just have to always have healthy food on hand so that I don't have to worry about relying on self-control.

Think you need a bit of both.

Maybe, but standing in line to get something fattening isn't much of a temptation to resist if I have healthy food that I can eat without standing in a line. I'd rather avoid temptation than use my highly limited self-control to resist it.

It may have to do with the stability I seem to have achieved. For the first time I'm having a real urge/need for some other food than the VLCD smoothies, prepared salads, and the chocolate bars before gym. Haven't been an absolutist save maybe the first month in the spring. But this is different. Feel a need to really search for alternatives. Very well, but the scale will have to tell if that's possible. Small steps anyway. Basically I've been enjoying this, but being a bit fed up with the "restrictions" now.

191.

Have you ventured into diversifying your diet yet, or just considering the possibilities?

Bought two sandwiches today, only had one salad at work. So things are moving. Would guess one-two salads a day will stay, and probably also the VLCD smoothies in the morning. Think things will show, no bigger need for decisions.

Think the every single day workouts are showing and feeling. Even if I don't do anything to exhaustion just the fact it's this regular probably makes the body build up. Training practically every muscle every day. Lightly but steadily.

Not afraid of getting too much muscle at this point though

Ate/drank some more after the 79.2, probably the lowest in this project, apparently at least got some liquid in.

So another period of 80.x

One of the big questions when keeping the weight must be how to react when it goes up and down. You can't freak out too easily, but not just let things happen either. My latest idea is this: I weigh myself for periods of ten days, present the results, and the goal is to have at least two 79.x and two 80.x among the readings. Tight/loose enough?

As I'm writing the measurements up on paper it would maybe be easier to eyeball five readings without having to count, and post. Then at least one could be 79.x and one 80.x. This is tighter, but may be the way to go, if giving myself some slack, glancing at the previous five days.

All in all ten days should be enough for correcting a few hundred grams.

I wouldn't worry about normal variance. I would worry if you noticed that you were eating an entire cheesecake or something. I'm pretty sure that a kg or two is within normal variance.

Yes, but if I get even one REAL kilogram more it'll be a PITA to lose I guess, compared to reacting to a REAL half a kilogram. This is about fine tuning

The trick is to try to look at what's possibly/probably behind the numbers, like in poker!
