Sup bitches,

Super simple, started running in Aug to try and lose a tad of weight and get fit.

Office life sucks dick at times

Started the gym and have worked my way slowly from 3k runs to 6k runs. This has took me longer than expect as I have start/stop frequently due to work and child wasnt well.

Last month I've been able to get to the gym 3 times a week so I'm startin to make progress.

Frist part of challenge is run 10km by christmas, then I want to beat the 1hr mark.
Second part is to lose some body fat weight (my diet is shockingly bad so want to track it to help)
Third is to track PB times as lets be ****ing honest running in a gym is boring.

Cliffs
-run 10km for xmas
-beat 10km in 1hr
-lose weight
-track personal best times

Personal bests
5km in 29mins 40sec
6km in 35mins 50sec

Personally think these are poor as a few years ago i can remember doing a walk/run like 4mins/1min and avg 10.6km/h and getting 5km in 28mins right up to 8km. I got new job and completely quit until Aug.

ffs,
Lower left leg, back of shin is ****ing arching when i walk....
hopefully tomorrows rest and its all sweet

7km in 42mins 16sec

on pace for 10km in an hour
my plan for the next few weeks would be

nxt week
2 x 7km 1 x 8km with 3 x 10mins cross trainer

following
3 x 8 km with 3 x 10 min cross trainer

if doing 3 x 5m runs too much too early?

Don't go to the gym for runs. Start your run at your house. Finish your run at your house. Saves lots of time. Get to know your neighborhood and your neighbors. Say hi to neighbors. Run/walk is a good starting strategy.

lol

so went to gym
dome 3km then had to stop as my leg was tightening up, then done weights for 2 x 3 x 10
afterwards i done cross trainer for 10mins
back to weights for 3 x10
then i ran the final 2km
afterwards then tho i ran 5km, it felt like i had wasted an hour of my life and i hadnt sweated much etc, strange

was talking to a random who had started pilate(?) and how it is for endurance and flexiabity, so thinking that might be good for golf and running
gonna google and see if maybe i should do 2 runs and 1 pilate session

Sounds counter intuitive. To get faster you should train slower.
Running at a 10km/hr pace is wearing you down. Run slower.
At 8km/hr pace you would be able to train more hours a week.
Build your endurance. You should run at a 10km/hr pace at
most 20% of your training time.
