I think the title is self explanatory.
How much tax do you pay on online poker in Germany?
In Holland we pay 29%, how is this in Germany?
Any other special regulations?

If you make 100k+ Euro a year, I guess you need to pay, but how much?

Onlinepoker is still not legalized here.

If you tax it as normal income up to 45%, but usually the most dont pay taxes. Its more like a drugdealer...as long it works its cash. If they catch you you have a problem .

Online poker is illegal.
The tax laws aren't clear on wether poker is taxable.
For an income of over 100k you are looking at a 42-45% tax rate.

It is a bit unclear.

In general Gambling is Tax Free in Germany, but if the Tax Authority thinks you are doing gambling as a business they can tax it. Probably you can sue against that but AFAIK there were no fundamental judgments on this topic. When they do this you can deduct losses and costs (computers, books, traveling rake etc.) . If you are taxed normal german Incometax-rates Apply (Expensive! see posts above.)

But over all it is a very difficult topic in Germany.

Question is what happens when he transfers the money to the bank or to moneybookers and then to the bank , can he get into trouble if he withdrawn a big amount? (lets say 10K+)
