I don't post here a ton but I'm looking into joining a country club and I want to start a thread people's experiences with them. It seems like a very EDF'esque topic and I think I'm not a bad poster.

I don't care if I get full thread starting privileges in this exclusive group; I just want to start this one thread.

I don't post a ton (mostly a lurker), but I think the quality:volume ratio has been pretty good, and wouldn't mind starting some threads. Recently took a trip to Japan where I saw some weird/interesting stuff that might make a good thread (and that a couple of posters have asked me about).

I want the option of being able to start a thread!

El D- I'm still waitin to hear the verdict on my request to start threads in your forum.

Here are my qualifications

-I have absolutly zero sense of humor
-I annoy people when I drink and post
-I think I know everything
-I am a degenerate gambler
-I like some Kelly Clarkson songs
-most of my friends don't even like me

I could go on listing more of my virtues and qualifications, but I think enough has been said.

I've just made this my home forum, I'll post in other threads for a few weeks, but I'd like to get my name out there to be put on the thread starters list. I have plans for a skydiving trip report/extreme sports thread at some point in the future that I think would create interesting discussion.

Mostly lurker, but I think I have a good thread starter after I listen to the NPR show this Friday or Saturday. Should be of interest to nearly everyone on every forum, but it is probably much better suited to this forum than OOT.

I mostly lurk at 2p2 and rarely post in EDF, I do read many of the threads here, and feel like here would be the place I could get the best, and most serious, advice.

I am a nineteen year old college student who is interested in becoming a bartender. I feel like it is a job that I would both be very good at, and enjoy.

I would be most appreciative if someone would begin a thread in which we could discuss bartending in general:
What makes a good one, tips and tricks from any bartenders that happen to post in EDF, advice on how to get jobs bartending, etc. etc.

Alternately of course, Diablo could add me to the list and I'll start the "Bartending" thread myself.

Either way I would be grateful if we could get this thread started, I think it could be entertaining and worthwhile.

Can somebody start a thread about the new TV shows coming on this fall?

I thought K-ville kind of sucked. I might give it one more shot because I think the idea of it is good. The black guy they cast as the lead is not believable as a serious cop and basically he's a crappy actor.

Im not qualified to do it, but can someone start a thread on hair fashion for men? Its something that is assumed to be known but I feel people could improve on their current look.

Could someone start a thread for San Diego things to do etc.

I've posted very little in the EDF overall but my posting on 2p2 is fairly solid imho.

Things I'd like to post about:

Cooking: various topics, bbqing on a big green egg, gtrhtr's homemade curry paste, german cooking, mexican.

Sports: Ask gtrhtr about playing div I NCAA football, world cup rugby

World events: As a serving, fairly senior Army officer, Ask gtrhtr about being a career military guy, ask gtrhtr about the GWOT (several tours).

World travel: I've been to over 50 countries and pretty much seen it all.

anyway, suzzer is on the list so...

Just wanted to say that although I show as a mod in this forum it's only because of an experiment to see if having some all-forum mods can help with keeping down the current spate of spammers if the home mods and Admins aren't online.
