I think theres a good chance Alvarez has an extremely grappling heavy game plan which will make for a boring fight. Plus nobody really cares about Alvarez nor thinks hes the best fighter in the division.
How does Khabib get the next shot? As far as I can see he's only had one top 10 win and that was a decision vs RDA 2.5 years ago, and then one fight since vs a no namer. Plus he's surely not going to be any kind of draw.

also where did someone in here get that nate only cut from 175 for the fight?

just heard kenny florian say he was at least 185 at fight night and his walking weight is near 200

If this is true is there any way possible Conor was 167 on fight night as he claimed?

Well he's also 21-0. 7-0 in the UFC at LW, and that RDA guy was the #1 guy for a long time and the same dude who sent Cerrone packing to WW beating him for the 2nd time.

Nate himself. He said he was like 175 and 1 dinner away from weight in the embedded series.

Sure but Conor spent the end of the round getting taken down and laying on his back trying not to get mauled while Diaz was attempting to mount him.

Yeah but this is the UFC, they want to sell fights. Given Khabib's record of only having one relevant fight and having such long absences he's gonna sell **** all to the casuals who have no idea who he is. Seems to me they'd want to build him up a bit first by giving him a fight or two vs more well known opponents before putting him in for the title.

Well my other post was about them not booking Khabib due to possibly booking Conor. Because besides Conor and Khabib who else is there? Tony Ferguson is fighting RDA in 2 months.

Thinking of the LW rankings makes me upset they didn't resign Bendo. He should have won that Cerrone fight and should still be a top 5 LW in the mix.

Look forward to seeing Will Brooks compete more. He might be a top 5 guy too.

Nate normally weighs in at 155(156), unless you think he was significantly heavier than normal it's super unlikely he was 185 in ring. 185 is 'average UFC welterweight'.

Nate said so in one of the embedded episodes. The 200 number is based on an offhand comment by a boxing coach who Nate trained with for a day. It wasn't serious. When Middleweights are entering the cage at ~197, the only way I'm believing lightweight is coming in at 185 is if he explicitly says so, and even then, I'm gonna be skeptical. Conor is one of the biggest cutters out there and he still only puts back ~20 pounds when he enters the cage at FW. Nate looks the exact same as he always had, so I'm not buying him magically adding on that much muscle just for this fight because it was at 170.

Rogan talked about getting the info on match day as something that would be interesting, i dont know if UFC would dare to do that considering it could be super choking if public for some fighters

This guy is the same height with a slightly shorter reach than Nate Diaz. Fights at 160lbs & was weighed at 175 lbs on fight night.

But yeah, I'm sure Nate Diaz weighed 10 lbs more.

nate diaz seems to have bigger problem, usada seems to take his vaping CBD super seriously.

What can USADA do if he claims he wasn't really vaping CBD?

Just saying that he did is enought to get ****ed up to 1 year from the few articles i ve read.
I dont think the "i was kidding defense" will be super efficient.
It s very possible aswell that that moron will test positive from test before the conference and possibly they ll have tested him again since he had a 6 hour window before and after the match where it was moronic to use it , and the conference was definitly in that window.
08-23-2016 , 09:41 AM
I don't think it will really matter too much if he gets suspended. The rubber match will still be on the table afterwards and I can't see what other fight interests him now that he is completely set financially.

Sadly that probably means Nate never intended to fight again for a while.

We dont know what is in his contract either and what the implication can be.
So most likely a **** up instead of a stunt imo.
Considering he ll have to a pay a fine and possibly have some problem about the conference already, I hope he doesnt have some stupid clause in his contract that **** him about his 2 Millions

'Jokes' is pretty foolproof (seriously).

Hard to know but definitly ******ed no matter what
