It seems like it should be at least a little harder for women to get submissions via armbar because:

1. They don't have cups for leverage

2. Chicks have weird bendy elbows

Frank Shamrock for Bas would be a no-brainer trade.

As would pretty much anyone for that guy with the artificial low shifted 70's DJ puking voiced newly bald guy. Gilbert Gottfried has a less annoying voice.

Love watching a good judo practitioner...her throws were sick. And to put urself in such dominant ground position directly to full mount is tough to beat. The more she works on her bjj and boxing the more dangerous she will be.

i basically paid very little attention to the build up to this fight, but main even was a nice fight. I'm now interested in women's MMA again, which I haven't been for a while since gina semi-retired and cyborg got caught roiding.

Her Judo is the ****, obviously. I agree with the upthread voices that said the best plan to beat her is to counterstrike, not attack with strikes moving forward. You obviously don't want to clinch with a olympic judo medalist who is also a sick athlete.

I wish Megumi Fujii was 20 pounds heavier and 10 years younger. She would take these chicks to school. Great fight though between Rousey and Tate. Have to respect their warrior spirit.

one of my major gripes is when people try to create a moment- ie mauro yelling that rousey is the "arm bar assassin", or "H Bomb" or whatever.

just call the ****ing action please- non of that **** is going to come off as anything but groan worthy.

The Kaufmann Alexis fight on the undercard was probably the best female fight I have ever seen, but the main event was probably the best round ever.

If Kaufmann fights smart, avoids the clinch at all costs and boxs she will have some success but I presume Rhonda gets her done eventually.

God, there are people arguing that Judo truly is the best base for MMA, and Rhonda giving up her back 3 times inst "a big deal". I really don't think people realize how much ahead she is of the division athletic wise and how much it saves her ass. Shes awesome, but she has a lot of bad Judo habits she needs to lose. The girl I train with is her #1 fan and said the exact same thing.
