Nick Diaz is...A REAL (ONE OF A KIND) UNIQUE PURE BREED CARACTER FIGHTER, not cocky at all you ****** under your mom. Get out of your confort zone and then you can start training, achieve something and in few years you maybe can talk....
lol

I just hate when people act like Maias BJJ is over rated because he couldn't tap 3 black belts and a sick wrestler who didn't go to the ground with him really. Hard to tap a black belt who has no interest in do anything but not letting you pass and get back to his feet, with no other motive to try to submit you or sweep you.

( made this just for you. Paul Harris has subbed I believe 4 black belts inside the UFC. )

Also in the process of trying to find a meme generator to make that I stumbled across this one which I think is excellent.

I'm now convinced we need to see Maia vs Palhares happen ASAP.

Neither guy is afraid to go to the ground with anyone, ever, basically. They might as well just buttscoot to the center of the octagon.

Hahah yea thats what makes the fight awesome, he would be willing to really grapple. All I mean is guys like Mario Miranda and Santiago did nothing but defend and maintain guard. Didn't even really take a chance trying to get up, and zero offense. Anyone who trains, as you claim to, knows how hard it is to sub someone who isn't trying to do anything offensive from guard.

I do know it's very difficult to sub someone playing defense. That said I think Maia is no longer ADCC champ Maia. His focus now is on becoming a well rounded mix martial artist, which means a lot of his time being devoted to striking & wrestling & strength and conditioning. He's been like this for a long time now. I think it was BJ who commented on his BJJ suffering a lot when he decided to dedicate his time to training all MMA aspects. I think it was in his road to UFC whatever against Nick Diaz.

So while I think Maia has some of the very best BJJ in MMA still, I don't see him as a guy who could go and even come close to winning ADCC or anything like that right now. I expect the top level grapplers in MMA being able to hang with him on the mat, and not ADCC Maia crushing everyone but Jacare on the mat.

I mean speaking of Jacare who is a lot more accomplished in BJJ than Maia, he hasn't been the destroyer of a grappler he was anymore either since being a full time MMA fighter for many years. I mean he's still sick on the ground, but he hasn't performed on the ground like you'd expect one of the most accomplished BJJ artists ever to perform on the ground.

Cliffs

Yes Maia has some of the very best BJJ in MMA, but I think a lot of the high level MMA grapplers can do well with him on the ground. ( In ADCC Okami took him down and controlled him for 10 minutes straight. Maia won based on points for a sub attempt that wasn't really that close IIRC. In ADCC Okami wins that 10 minutes to the judges )

Yea, I also didn't like the repeating of the quotes several times either. Someone made a good point on the UG saying one of the best things about Diaz is never in his highlights. Its him getting beat up and not stopping or slowing down, and they never show this in his highlights. Its like showing Fedor Kimuraing Randleman without the slam before hand.

That was a cool video.. but one thing I couldn't stop thinking about that kind made me not enjoy it.

They're using the Ali quotes repetitively while showing Nick Diaz clips. I dunno Ali was great because he was so fast, agile, quick, great footwork & head movement. He was also a great elegant speaker who had good witty jokes. Pretty much the exact opposite as Nick Diaz lol.

It'd be like playing Mike Tyson clips for a GSP highlight.

For someone who is supposed to be not that smart Nick Diaz has orchestrated the best hype train in MMA. Sorry Chael you're 2nd best again.

I would have assumed that Carano's acting would suck so much ass that this movie would be like front runner for worst of 2012

I never said it was a close fight, and I never said I was a mendes fan (I'm not). You must be assuming both, or attributing other ideas to my qoute, which aren't stated in my quote.

Good points re: low blows.
