Ya, he could get submitted anytime. Or, he could somehow control him the whole time and win a 5 round decision. Has potential be super exciting fight (Chael won't tap imo so there will be some crazy submission escapes ala chael-marquardt if chael were to win). "I know he admires my tougness"

Sonnen recently tapped to a triangle choke from Maia, I think he would tap to any sub that Anderson locks in good. He knows that it is much worse to go out than it is to just tap. Yeah, it's for the title and all, but he definitely isn't dumb enough to let anything break.

anyone have any idea what rich franklin is up to? havent heard anything announced from him since the vitor ko. seems like the majority of the top 15 lhw are tied up at the moment

can anybody recommend some classic mma fights to watch on youtube? I remember seeing some old ones with no weight classifications before, like one 300lbs guy vs a ninja etc?

Yeah I lol'ed pretty hard when they ranked Forrest over Moussai when he would prob be at least -250 vs. Forrest.

It's not so much Forrest being above Mousasi as it is Forrest's only win in the last year and a half is a split dec. against Tito. That's just the record of a top 5. but to be fair, that one judge was clearly off his rocker.

Rankings are subjective though, which is why Shogun is at #2. And for that same reason, Forrest should be in the lower end of the top 10.

Forrest has wins over 2 guys ranked above him. Rankings are based off of who you've beaten, not how good people think you are.

They mentioned on MMA Live that Sonnen got right back into the gym to prepare for Abu Dhabi just incase this happened. Dunno if that's accurate though.

Hes suspended from any contact till March 9th I think. Would be kinda dumb on his end to take the fight, and not be properly prepared, but at the same time it just really sucks cause they need Anderson to fight someone.

haha yea, i mean if i had to rank them my order would be machida, shogun, mousasi, but sherdog goes by whatever ******ed rules they have, i was just pointing out that the only 4 available people right now are silva, cane, franklin, randy and they should all fight each other.

i hear sonnen has no contact for 30 days cause of his cut, so he wont be able to fight for a couple months, maybe anderson vs sonnen in may?

You guys want Anderson to have two fights just a month apart? I think August is a better bet.

EDIT: MY BAD! Just read that Vitor fight is off. I'm crossing my fingers for June. Vancouver has a crap Main Event as it stands right now (Liddell vs Ortiz).
